Friendly people make the night better, guy or girl. The gay thing happend to me once at the guv. Some guy was dancing behind me and started grabbin my ass and tryin to grind with me... bad news.

im very open to meeting new people at parties....infact i positively enjoy it :)...once it goes past 1am or so tho im hard to get ahold off...these legs have a certain quota of dancing to get in a night :p....

gotta add that over the last 2 years of partying (80 percent of which has been spin sats at guv) ive met some of the most unbelievable people. Most are acquaintances, but some have become my closest friends. For that I will be ever grateful...i salute every single one of em....

Meh, I'm a little shy myself so I don't approach people a lot, but I like a friendly atmosphere and I've got no problem if someone else wants to strike something up. :)

I used to approach pretty girls while acting all 'confused and lost'. it was always 'my first time at the Guv/kool' :D

and everytime at guv/kool haus I get asked if I want/have or know where to get some x
is that a common thing?
it weird b/c i don't look like a raver at all

I think it's good to have an open and friendly atmosphere at parties. (Yeah man, PLUR!:stongue:  ). I hate going to clubs full of attitude, people all standing around looking bored or miserable, no one dancing.

I guess the flip side is that you sometimes get people really ed up on E or K and they come up to you saying nonesensical . That has happened to me a few times too. It can be very annoying.

Last time I was out, this girl came up to me and asked me "have you ever put anything up your nose?" Then she fell on the floor in a sitting position, then when she got up, her top was falling down and boobs were hanging out. I felt sorry for the poor thing, she was probably a hard core addict, needing help. She ended up getting kicked out of the club.

^^^ lol, that's ed up...I had a girl come up to me at System...she asked for some water...recognizing that she was super messed up on e, I gave her some...she suddenly pops a handful of something into her mouth...I asked what it was...she said some guy handed her a bunch of shrooms...jeez...I don't think she needed them

I'm kind of shy too...but I always enjoy meeting and talking to new people...I'll never object to casual conversation, or maybe even making some new friends. I often end up outing myself (and no you would never guess ahead of time) because the conversation invariably ends up with a guy saying "wow, there are sooooo many hot chicks here tonight, eh?", lol :D

What's sad is that half the time, guys kind of back off and walk away once I mention something. Um, we were obviously having a good converstaion, talking about DJs, parties, etc., and then because they find out I'm gay, now they can't talk to me anymore  That's kind of ty. Actually, it's really ty. I was "cool" enough to talk to before, but now I'm not because I'm not str8?

Many people really don't care though, which, in addition to the great music, is why I like our scene...the majority of people in it are very cool and not judgemental and closeminded.

if a gay guy overtly hits on you, just take it for what it is...they think you're cool and good looking, and are maybe hoping that you're one of the few gay guys that goes to decent events too...or they're just completely high and WAY more bold than usual, lol...I guarantee that if you just say something like "look, I'm str8", they'll stop hitting on you and will just chat or move on. No one is there to "prey" on poor unsuspecting str8 guys, hahaha.

lots of gay guys hate the ty circuit gay scene...they just want to meet someone that shares their taste in music and clubs...it's definitely not easy...believe me :(

Yea, I used to go to SS a lot, and still do frequently. Needless to say, i've been hit on my my fair share of gay men... for whatever reason. As Mark T put it, i just take it as a compliment, and inform the guy of my heterosexuality. However, i find that gay men can usually have very interesting things to say and, as long as the conversation remains intellectual or causual and not BLATANTLY homosexual, i've got no problem talking to / chilling with a gay guy/girl.

Anyhow... we need some agressive WOMEN out there picking up on men!! haha
