Started out in the 80's with all that new wave kinda beat ( hey it's Edm to me )

Then Euro
Then Breakbeat/big beat ( with the chems's first album )
Trance .... in all it's cheesy forms
then house ( Calderone, morales, vasquez, tenaglia, deep dish ( in the days they where house ) )
then Hard house in all it's hardest forms
then prog
then techno

Then now ... anything funky, from funky prog, to funky techno ... to funky house

I particularly love acid house and chicago kinda house it'S the best for me !

besides the occasional track here and there, it all started when a friend of mine told me to download 'dj tiesto - live at energy 2000' the first live set i had ever listened to, and from that moment on i've been hopelessly hooked :happy2:

i haven't really evolved into other genres, just expanded i guess.. trance, house, progressive, techno, breaks, hard trance, hard house, progressive house... whatever you want to classify it as... simply put, i love electronic dance music! i'm always open to new djs and new sounds and although i suppose i like some more then others, i really just like EDM as a whole :)

* 'Electronica' -- Prodigy / Leftfield / Orbital ('Hackers' soundtrack anyone?)

* ..mixed with some NIN, PWEI, KMFDM

* to (back then) Progressive Trance (a la Sasha & Digweed's Expeditions)

* House (Deep, Tribal, Tech)

* Some Breaks and House and Prog right now. ... and anything else that has a great groove that sounds wicked and can be danced to.

(Yes, Trance as well, but personally i find that most trance nowadays just sound the same so it kindof bores me...)

Yahh.

i was into industrial and i always liked the chemical brothers, orbital, underworld, etc. but the first time i really got into the "scene" (oh god, did i just type that? *shudder*), was through trance, specifically the pvd remix of 1998.

then i went on this huge uk hard house tip cos that's what i was going out to...then i started liking prog. now that is all i like. my tastes have also gotten a LOT more housey as well. stuff that i would have thought was boring 3 years ago, is what i adore now. i sometimes enjoy the techno, although more often that not, i don't. but i still love love love acid techno. oh yes, love it i do.

basically, i have evolved into an uber picky music snob (i fully admit to being guilty of snobbery) and the use of synths makes me run screaming from the room in horror. it has to be dark, funky, dirty and i require that it have that certain je ne sais quoi which i like to call the "ass-shakeability" of a track :)
