Yeah, but who on the Lakers team will take care of KG? Sprewell? There are mismatches on both sides of each team. And don't tell me that Bryant will take care of Spree, because after what we've seen last night, Sprewell will just be shooting from downtown all night if he has to.

Also, Cassell isn't that bad. At least he made it to the All-stars team, didn't see Fisher or Payton on there this year. The Wolves have a better team effort too, whereas the Lakers have more individual good players.

Think about it: First game of the Wolves, Cassell scored 40 points, and KG has a supporting role. Second game, Nuggets defend Cassell as if their life depended on it, and rightfully so, and then Sprewell has an outstanding performance as well as KG with his triple-double.

I find it amazing that in the West you have the Spurs, Mavericks, Lakers, Wolves, Rockets, and Kings that can beat pretty much any team in the East.

I never said Cassell was bad. ;) He's good, that's why he needs to be shut down. With Fisher doing a hell of a job on Francis, and rotating Payton in who is one of the best defenders at his position for the past 20 years, they'll keep fresh legs on him the whole game.

The thing the T-Wolves have going for them is they swept the Lakers during the regular season. But the playoffs are entirely different, and I don't see the T-Wolves winning a 7-game series unless 2 of the big 3 score 25 each game.

Hopefully we won't have to worry about it, and the Spurs will knock the Lakers off beforehand.

Yeah. Last thing I want to see is them nasty Lakers win :(

Spurs deserve it again, but it would be interesting to see if any other team can measure up to them.

The Kings measure up to them. I think the Kings will take it all. But heres my only beef with the Kings, they have a big problem maintaining a lead. They always go on runs, and than get sloppy and not score for about 10 mins. Brad Miller needs to stay out of foul trouble and not get frustrated so easily. Bibby has to take control of the team, he is easily the key to their success in the playoffs. I have no complaints with Christie, he is playing supurb. Divac and Webber just have to do what they always do. They have a good bench, especially with Peeler, hes been playing great.

The Pacers are good, but need to get better, they are young... with the exception of Reggie, who can give them the experience and leadership that they need in the playoffs. Another year or 2, and not too much change to their roster, they have potential to take over the east and possibly get the championship. The Pacers need to beat the Nets to proove to me that they are #1 in the East, what they did in the regular season doesnt matter.

The Spurs will win it. Only team that I can think of right now that can beat them is Minnesota. Spurs vs Minnesota Western Conference Finals series will be good. Anyone in the west can beat the east. Only Eastern team that I would be worried about is Indiana.

Screw Minnesota, Did you see last night's game? They got beat at home by the Kings. That's sad. KG had an off-night(or Webber's D was too much for him), Christie had Spree on lock-down and Cassell was all their offense.

Personally, No team in the West can beat the spurs but either the Kings or the Lakers. The Lakers obviously aren't showing it, and the Kings might have a "slight" chance of doing it, but I doubt their high powered offense can handle the Spurs defense.

Who ever said LA can't handle Minnesota is bs. Malone can take on KG, KG will get his points it's just stopping spree and cassell.

Cassell isn't a fast witted point guard like Parker or Francis, so fisher/payton can take him. Kobe lives for the isolation challenge. If spree talks any to Kobe, you know Kobe will be down for the challenge. The past two series Kobe hasn't had a real rival, Gino isn't exactly the kind of opponant Kobe gets fired up on.

Minny > LA.

Don't feel like giving reasons, thats just how I feel. LA are too arrogant, luckily Spurs shut 'em up.

now that the lakers have beat the spurs and most likely will beat whoever they face for the conference finals, its going to be lakers vs. pacers in the finals i say but the lakers will win the series 4-1.
