swamper, i know your reading this.......it would be nice to have our own forum. i don't see any harm in trying, and seeing what kinf of a response we get....i'll take the blame if we don't get enough support!

| not a bad idea.. u can have ASIA section and have coutries like Japan, S.Korea, Hong Kong[although not a country..] etc.. but do we have enough tas living in those countries to have a forum going ? it seems not enough yet at least.. |

| once again, I think Asia is too big in general to have it's own forum, mainly cos theres so many countries to cover, but also, who would mod it (as in say an indian based mod should mod a forum with so many japanese etc ?) and also again the amount of people who actually live in their native countries, or have moved like an awful lot have. Personally I don't think you'll get it, trying is one thing, but at this current moment, i don't see how one would be approved with so few users to frequent such a place :) |

| If this has already been suggested, ignore it, but maybe it could have a similar setup to what the US forums have - one for South Asia like India or Pakistan, one for the Middle East, and one for East Asia like Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, etc. This would suckup alot of bandwith however and I'm not exactly sure if the numbers warrant creating the forums. Around the whole board, I see a few Indians, some Arabs, but fewer Chinese/Japanese/Korean TAs. |

Maybe start a poll in a popular forum, where TA's living in Asia can vote. Then the mods can have something substantial to go on.
If they want it, they will vote. People who are not in Asia or are not part of the scene shouldn't post their opinions.
A post floating about in a forum that nobody really looks at is not going to generate the interest or get the responses it should get.
If it fails then, so be it. |
