It's on right now on the East Coast, and will be on in the other time zones soon! They are interviewing Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward who has done many interviews with Bush.

Apparently Bush thinks he's doing the Lord's work by attacking Iraq, and is on a mission from God or something.

I didn't realize he was insane holy .:nervous:

He's like David Koresh and all those nuts.

I'm reading secondhand accounts of it, but it looks like Bush is a crazed religious fanatic who believes he's doing God's work.

I'll have to see the interview myself though to fully comment.

I'm scared less though from what I've read.

Actually it's too late for me, and I missed it grrrrrrr.

They might show it later on the West Coast though.

Cheney came off as a wacko running the show behind the scenes. God I hate this guy 100x more than Bush. Bush might be naive, but Cheney is a sneaky, malicious bastard.

He is doing the Lord's work getting rid of a brutal, insensitive dictatorship. We don't need any Imans stepping up trying to seize power either. We need to make Iraq a free democratic society and f*ck all the extremists who stand in the way. All the past regime brought was war and casualties in the hundreds of thousands with a good portion of the casualties wrought on its own populace.

So Mike Wallace points his index finger toward the ceiling..

Mike says, (paraphrasing) "So George Bush, a man with little foreign policy experience, decides that 'someone' (pointing toward ceiling) told him it was his duty to liberate people all over the world."

Like Mike Wallace is someone we should respect or something. He's an old bag of that needs to retire instead of trying to sensationalize something that isn't. But in fact, Bush should work to liberate people all over the world beacause, after all, America is the only policeman left in the world to do it. The UN is a house of cards which needs to be moved to Paris, France. Sadly, you my friend, need to wake up and realize that we should stomp out brutal dictatorships and regimes across the globe and make the world a better place. Flying planes into highrises and bombing commuter trains just don't cut it anymore.

Move this to the Political Discussion forum if you want some asinine support from the liberals.

These were probably the most disturbing quotes:

quote:

Having given the order, the president walked alone around the circle behind the White House. Months later, he told Woodward: “As I walked around the circle, I prayed that our troops be safe, be protected by the almighty. Going into this period, I was praying for strength to do the Lord's will. I'm surely not going to justify war based upon God. Understand that. Nevertheless, in my case, I pray that I be as good a messenger of his will as possible. And then, of course, I pray for
forgiveness."

Did Mr. Bush ask his father for any advice? “I asked the president about this. And President Bush said, ‘Well no,’ and then he got defensive about it,” says Woodward. “And then he said something that really struck me. He said of his father, ‘He is the wrong father to appeal to for advice. The wrong father to go to, to appeal to in terms of strength.’ And then he said, ‘There's a higher father that I appeal to.’"

Beyond not asking his father about going to war, Woodward was startled to learn that the president did not ask key cabinet members either.

“After the second interview with him on Dec. 11, we got up and walked over to one of the doors. There are all of these doors in the Oval Office that lead outside. And he had his hands in his pocket, and I just asked, ‘Well, how is history likely to judge your Iraq war,’” says Woodward.

“And he said, ‘History,’ and then he took his hands out of his pocket and kind of shrugged and extended his hands as if this is a way off. And then he said, ‘History, we don’t know. We’ll all be dead.’”

Hitler also thought he was doing God's will.

The little kids are throwing rocks and shooting at our US soldiers in IRaq now. Trust me on that one since I get regular emails from my cousin. Anyways, if another country had invaded the US unprovoked the people would also rise up in resistance don't you think?

It's just a mess.
