ebay slow?

| Why is ebay soooo slow? On my old computer it took forever for things, but i thought it was just because it was a piece of crap. My new computer has an athlon 2500XP, 1Gb ram, and broadband, and ebay is still SOOOOO slow, it's not funny, i'm talking 2 to 3 minutes for pages to load. |

i think it's an ebay canada thing.
it keeps flipping from offers.ebay.ca to signin.ebay.ca to cgi.ebay.ca etc.
ing useless like this, it's taking me an hour and a half to bid on like 4 things in one sellers list |

it is heartening to know that the industry is getting some media time. That means more people will buy it when it opens back up.
hehe its crazy the FCC is gonna start a crusade against porn, but it already makes like $13 bil a year, so it looks like they are the minority.
anyway. Tweak your P-Ram and glaze your sub-routines and hopefully you can get your porn quicker. |

| The network might just be experiencing downtime or traffic lag...but on his end he could try adjusting the default packetsize allowed by Windows. |

nah, this has been happening for months in two different houses with two different computers.

The three things that affect a website speed are:
1. your internet connection
2. website's server bandwidth
3. the amount of traffic. At peek time (4-9pm) when ppl are pounding ebay it natural for it to be slow.
If you were using opera you could turn off images or show only cashed images and it would be a lot faster. |
