Hey Fundo,
I know I promised to listen to this like a week ago and I am just now getting around to it.
I like it.
Can't say just exaclty what I like, but I like it.
Though I must say it seems like you almost have 2 or more songs in one here....a couple times I was like "this could be a song by itself".
I would liek to hear the Drum & Bass mix next please :p

Wow, for your third track, this is amazing. But, before I talk about the good, first thing is first: the bad.
The kick could use a bit of work. Perhaps better eqing or compression. The percussion feels a bit empty, but i think that just compression would fix that up. The breakbeat is really gay, to be honest. The breakdown kinda sounds like something from DDR, but things get cool at the climax. At 5:45 things get really crazy. I like it. My only criticism about the lead is that it goes on for so long...
On to the good. Really good use of automation and effects. I also quite enjoyed the chord progression of the piece as a whole. Very pleasant to the ear. Good job, especially for only your third tune. Keep it up. |

nice for your third tune, much of an improvement off the other two
melody that comes on around 150 is a bit loud at times like 225 its too loud
i think the clap has a bit too much reverb on it
405 that synth that comes on is way too loud
i like the long roll you have going and then into a kick roll, its nice
then at 435, i like that pad (at least i think its a pad) that comes on, that is a nice touch.
528, that synth is too loud, (not a big fan of that synth either, but thats up to you)
i like what you do between 540 and 555
after that, at about 555, everything starts to get a bit muddy. you might want to try lowering the volume on some of the channels perhaps, or putting different ones up or a down an octave, i remeber when i used to make tunes that had muddy spots in them, just upping the octave helps a lot =).

Orate just thought I'd reply as I only just got round to listening to this.
Really impressed! You've managed to avoid a lot of the trancy cliches (i.e. bang it out, have a long breakdown, massive build, bang it out again). The production's really cool too, I think the breakbeat maybe goes on for too long but that's personal taste. I had no prob with the synths tho.
It's obvious you went to a lot of effort making it varied throughout (not just coz I read it earlier in the thread :p) and I didn't get bored at all. Also, the whole feel of the tune is nice especially the way the synths all come together, you obviously understand a lot about harmony's and chords (or just have a good ear).
Nice work :D You know I'm not a big Trance fan but this is the kinda stuff I don't mind. |

0.45 that saw synth starting to come, i think you shouldn't put the filter so open, makes it so thin, little less filter more reverb, for the rank1 style.
nice pads coming up :), think they could use bit more volume 4-6
main lead is nice clubby, but a bit to loud i think 2-4 less volume.
lead gets mophed to some arp, with nice filter automation, but sometimes it get to sharp for my taste and ears :p.
it really exlopdes which is good.
overall clubkiller, nice edits and melodies, i only have some complains about the mixage and mastering, sometimes i feel it has to much high, and on headphones that is KO for ears :p

Great tune Joe!
Really enjoyed giving it a listen, Great effects, nice percussion though the kick could be abit harder, the melody is pretty good aswell.
The main lead saw synth I didn’t liked that much im afraid, to typical sounding. It also lacks some depth but it fits the whole tune pretty well so its cool.
Keep up the great work mate, im looking forward to hear your next tune!
