The 2 songs on discussion here are:
DJ Tiesto ft. Joanne Lloyd - Sweet Misery
DJ Tiesto ft. Kirsty Hawkshaw - Just Be
These , of course, are off of the new Tiesto album. Anyway. For me, these 2 tracks are probably the best vocal tracks I have heard so far this year. The electro-sounds and that piano in "Sweet Misery" make me go insane along with those lines "I want to, feel you touch you love you..." god those vocals are awesome! Very addictive. "Just Be" is written very well and has a little bit more drive to it, not as ballad-like. The song has a good message and the vocals are very nice.
IMO both of these tracks should be huge this year. I really really hope that "Sweet Misery" gets some energetic remixes to give it a little bit more drive since it's a bit too soft to be thrown into a set unless it's to add that ethereal emotional momement in a set. I actually hope that both songs get remixes. Perhaps Above & Beyond, Armin, Gabriel & Dresden and the likes could take a stab? MMMMMMM, that would be too yummy.
Anyway...anyone have anything to comment about these 2 tracks? |

i think just be is great as it is....leave it be!
Lyrics are excellent. the only part i'm not too keen in the song is the bit in the breakdown where she sings ' iwas lost, i'm still lost but now i feel so much better'. It's kind of like they couldn't be bothered to come out with something decent for the last lines of the song. and problem is those lines really stand out cos they are in the breakdown. |

| i think most trakcs in the just be album have a lot of potential for remixes. some may not sound good enough atm but some remix would help these tracks to standout. |

im sorry i just dont see how they are the top 50 vocal tracks this year(n). There isn't anything that stands out about them. Just be isnt even a "vocal track" its quite boring imo. I dont see how any 1 could love either of them. None of the vocals on just be are even close to anything on in my memory. |

"In My Memory" didn't have many vocal tracks. This one does. I don't see how anyone could not like some of the vocal tracks on "Just Be" I think Just Be and Sweet Misery are far better than the way over hyped "Holding Onto Nothing"
different strokes for different folks |

well you dont like it fair enough. but i dont think you can say you dont see how others would like it. cause the fact is that some people do like them, as ridiculous as you think. it is just personal reference and some people relate better to different vocal tracks |
