That would be cool BUT it's not going to happen anytime soon.
Steve seems to have built up a good relationshop with the guys that book talent for System on Fridays + GUV (hes played @ all of their parties since he started coming to TO). At least he wont be playing @ GUV the next few times he comes to Toronto, thats good enough for me!

I can't agree with you more, that doesn't change the fact that Lawler at Boa would be one of the most intense things I've ever heard. It never hurts to be hopeful.
That and I'm not a huge System fan. No insult intended to those of you who like system. It's just not my club of choice. |

Exactly....and also b/c Barbara's last couple of gigs weren't that great (according to her...).
Time to bring her back to a worthwhile venue.

this really demonstrates what a good scene we have in TO. We don't really need to complain about not having the dj's we like come here frequently, Lawler is my favorite DJ- ofcourse it would be great to hear him on a sound system like the one at stereo's (in mtl) but the fact that he comes to TO on a regular basis should really be good enough. I would be willing to go out and hear his at any venue.
this is not directed at you PH, but I alwasy find it funny when ppl say that b/c a dj is playing at a certain venue they won't go (most times it's guv mainroom whrn ppl do this). If you really really love the dj you will see him play anywhere IMO, even if it means being a littel squished or hearing him/her on a sound system that is sub-par. |
