Post your cool looking desktops and describe any mods.
1. Microsoft Virtual Desktop XP Powertoy - Lets you have 4 virtual desktops in windows xp. This powertoy kicks all sorts of ass if you do a lot of work at once and 1 desktop isnt enough. Link: http://download.microsoft.com/downl...wertoySetup.exe
2. Theme - Chaninja, Subzero Colour, You will need a modified uxtheme.dll so you can install different themes for xp. Google for style XP. Download the theme at http://www.deviantart.com/view/2017230/
3. Samurize - Thats the app in the bottom right, a bunch of system info + the weather. Cool app, http://www.samurize.com for the program. 4. Rainlendar - Useful calendar desktop application, with a to do list. In the screen shot ive got two instances of it open to show this month and next month. Haven't got a recent photo to pimp, but I'm also using ChaNinja Subzero skin, it's on my work computer as well :o
I used to use Samurize, but after a week or so I found it useful for posting l33t desktop pics and not much else. Sure it's good to see how much TCP/IP traffic has gone through my LAN card since day 0, but it's ultimately not that useful. Nor is knowing the number of spare CPU cycles, or the current memory voltage :D |

Yeah but even so, I could just look out the window. Or have it on my mobile .. that rocks :D
Not saying Samurize isn't good (it is), I just ultimately didn't find it that useful. If you check the old desktop thread and my pics are still there, I'm fairly sure an ugly old version of Samurize makes a non-too-subtle appearance :) |
