What else besides Tables and Mixers?

| So im looking into buying equipment and for now just being an in home dj. I know i need tables, a mixer, speaker(s), cables to connect them all and vinyl. Im not sure what else I need besides that. Anything? |

a headphone would be nice
and an amplifier

How big of speakers are you planning on powering??
it all depends.......are you powering some studio monitors or some concert speakers :eyes: |

| let's see...... headphones, amplifier, monitors (if you want)..... and some lights if you want to do real sets at home..... or just to make it look cool.... :) |

| Mr Burns...since you are from Ny just like me, we get all these hot trance/deep house tracks after everybody has played them out in Europe. What i suggest you do, maybe in the future is buy a Cd scratcher. Because theres some great tracks that you will hear on TA that'll you just might want. You might not be able to get the vinyl for months to come but atleast you can burn it onto a cd and mix it while its new and fresh. New Yorkers would love you if you played tunes for them that they have never heard before, because after all it is VERY trendy overhere. |

| uh, didn't you guys all forget about cartridges and needles? ya know the little thingys that actually "read" the vinyl? probably one of the most important parts!!! |

| yep there's no cartridges with new turntables... check ortofon models, like the PRO-S and the SCRATCH, who are good ones to begin djing. also buy two slipmats if you wanna scratch =) |

| A coffin to put your tables and mixer into, keeps everything orderly and dust free when not in use, and if you do ever decide to take them somewhere just close the latch and take off. |
