Seriously though, for a commuter, this is getting ridiculous.

It's just so ironic that I'm moving to Toronto and will now be able to walk to work instead of my dumbass 1.5hr one-way commute from Barrie...

Hurray for me! :p

Suck it up buttercup... ;)

Those of you advocating public transit

If we actually had decent public transit people would use it. As it is we have subways that go nowhere and not even many at that. We dont have very many commuter trains or lines. The bus service is ok but i find street cars to be chronically slow.

We need more frequent commuter trains, better night service and more subways if we are to get Torontonians out of their cars. And abolish streetcars because all they do is cause more traffic. Oh and how about an airport train link? Why are we the only major city in the world that doesnt have a transit link to it's airport?

World class indeed.

Also, coming out of the Leaf game for example youd be hard pressed to find a bus or train that would take you to where you want to go especially if its outside city limits.

That still doesn't justify using a car. If everyone during rush hours, or after a leafs game decided to drive, you wouldn't be able to get out of the downtown in days.

when i was in india, they had no bus scedules, bcuz every 2 seconds there were 5 buses for 1 route. so once your at the bus stop, the bus is already there. lol. there is no timings for when it departs or arrives, they can leave whenever they want.

eh.. that ain't too bad compared to the prices over on the European mainland. lately they've been raising them to extreme levels. guess it has something to do with the stuff going on in iraq.
i used to pay €1.11/liter octane95 in early january, now it's €1.26 and stil raising :(

there was a newsitem on the television lately that Americans started massive complains about the gas prices, whilst their prices are actually REALLY cheap compared to what Europeans pay. figure they might wanna trade in those big SUV's for some tiny European or Japanese cars sometime to save on fuel :p
