As far as I know about intrdoucing people to edm/trance,
duncan sheik - on a high (g and d mix)
way out west - mindcircus (g and d mix)
those 2 are easily loved by newbies. As well a friend of mine really lkes anything by chicane now.
I've noticed that people have a hard time listening to the long progression of trance tracks and they are always waiting for something to happen, so they lose interest right away, sometimes you gotta hook em with something a bit quicker like atb's stuff or even ar52 - hibernation since it doesn't have so much build up. |

| when i introduce people i get something they can relate with. Like for instance i have a lot of friends that play guitar so i play something w/ guitars... etc. I'd play her a Jewel (markus schulz remix)... but i'd probably start the CD i gave her w/ an ambient track, ie Thrillseekers - Escape. |

| If you're introducing someone to trance, a good rule of thumb to follow is that you pick a track which has lyrics (otherwise they may complain about not having anything to listen to, they like to focus on lyrics since that's what they've listened to for who knows how long) and just pick a moderately cheesy track and you're set. The stuff aforementioned is good :) |

If you she cannot appreciate tunes like that then you don't really have much chance of converting her IMO. Why not also give her the amazing 'Global Underground 013: Ibiza' by Sasha. |
