Sounds to me your trying to use a computer program, and then just make the bpm the same, this is a crap way, you should use your ears, I dunno if that is the right BPMs, but it doesn't matter, I don't know any of my records BPMs, you just use your ears, using the programs are shoddy, is thats what your doing. |

| Who knows, don't worry about the BPMs.... Match them up by ear instead of "DJing by Numbers". |

Indeed. The problem you're having is that they aren't exactly matched. Even tiny fractions of a difference will cause them to drift away eventually. Thats why it's important to listen for this drifting and correct it before its noticible.
Also, if you're not using Techs, thats probably your biggest problem right there. |

Depends on the speed you play the other record doesn't it? There is no standard setting for the pitch.
And besides, you can never match two records during the length of the full song, no matter what turntables you have. You will almost always have to adjust the speed a little during a mix, to get the records back in line again. You don't need the pitchfader for that, although some dj's are used to doing it like that. I jus use my fingers (gently, please...) to speed up or slow down a record for making minor adjustments.
BTW pooley, for how long have you been spinning? |
