Are you talkin about the quote he made about being more popular than Jesus? if so, then he made that comment way before he got shot. He was still with the Beatles when that happened and I believe it was after Sgt. Pepper albumn when they wrote that, or just before, mebbe Abbey Road? He was shot as a solo artist by a crazy man named Mark David Chapman who strangley enough read "Catcher in the Rye" religiously and always called John Lennon a phoney! crazy.. |

| And to post on this thread, I used to hate rock n roll when i was 17, then I started smoking alot of pot and got hooked to Bob Dylan and Red Hot Chili Peppers, and never looked back to dance music ever again! until I started listenin to house and trance a few years later... |

Currently acquiring albums and I've been told by the manager of a radio station who knows more about music than anyone I know. He does the history of new music on the edge 102 in Toronto. He tells me the single is out in august, they say and the album is out in october and the world tour to follow (which I have to see u2 live and beautiful day live)..k enuf said..back to rattle and hum.

If you haven't already...listen to Sunday Bloody Sunday. The song will be a bit different than what you might expect from U2 (their old style obviously was less commercial sounding), but the lyrics are still fitting even today. |
