Those insults are uncalled for. I don't hate the US, I've gotten a lot out of it. But the fact is that I was born in an American colony and it was never my choice to be a US citizen, even if I don't feel American. That's just the way I am thanks to colonialism and imperialism. :rolleyes:

My grandfather left Spain during the Civil War back in the 1930s, and according to Spanish law I have the right to freely ask for my citizenship there because I'm second generation.
I lived in Amsterdam for almost a year and it was the most amazing experience of my life. I will probably go to law school in Barcelona and then try to settle down somewhere in Central Europe, hopefully.... |

yes, I know. but I wasn't actually born in the US. I was born in a non-incorporated territory OF the US where only 15% of the population is fluent in English and where the culture is totally Latin American in the national, not ethnic minority, sense.
in the US I'm labeled as a foreigner, even if I was born an American citizen. When you come from a colony, it's hard to apply any labels. |

Since when did "I didn't choose to be born here" end up in arguements??
you can see some of the bad of bush as being similar to hitler, however hitler did a lot more good to germany than bush has been doing to america. Hitler took a country from shambles, and in about 9 years made it a world power.
If only he didn't have that whole hatred to other races thing, he might have been the best leader... |

It's just as offensive as what Floorfiller said. And Thom does have a point, a redneck would never think of leaving the US. |

that is not at all what he is saying. He is saying that people who do not want to leave the US...for whatever reason, are retards and rednecks.
I surely believe a red neck would not want ot leave the US, so what, its not cool to say everyone that does stay in the US is a retard and red neck...
