Anyone want to reccomend some good products for cleaning records? Mine don't get all that dirty (I grab them and cue by either the label or the outside edge) but hey, if I'm gonna be spending my life savings on em, they may as well last a while :D
TwoPlow
Gruv Glide
Anti-Static Wipes / Cloth
Swiffer
Lighter Fluid
CarlosM
Gruv Glide!!
`pr0digy
Lighter fluid and a rag here...

Edit: Along with a Swiffer cloth before each play to wipe the dust off.
dukes
stay away from chemicals of all forms. even ones thet are suposedly mad for record cleaning.

a fine haired brush (very fine) is all you need. just brush round the reord in the direction the record travels (same way as the needle)

this is seriously all you need.

how do "most dj's" choose which track they'll play next... do they decide this when they're going through their records or do they know from long before?

I was just wondering...

:p

clockwise.

oh and its taken ages for the insanity to sink in....LIGHTER FLUID!!!!! are you mad! chemicals are not good for records.

see if there is any dirt lodged in a groove that the brush can not remove play the record a few tims. it will sort itself out.

OHH!!... I have cleaned my records Using Gruv Glide in Ati-Clock Direction all the time... :whip: :whip:

Inertia
i don't think clockwise/counterclockise would make a difference. as long as you follow the groove's "path"
