Hi everbody, anyone know a place in this world where there are: Good warm, sunny, no-rain weather, amazing women, a good clubbing atmosphere, and good friendly people etc. I mean in your opinions, the best place to live. I have to move somewere and me and my family are, for lack of a better word, depressed living here in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. While it is one of the nicer cities in the world, it just doesnt have what I want. Im not exactly sure what I want. I just wanna be happy where I am and have those boundries: "Good warm, sunny, no-rain weather, amazing women, a good clubbing atmosphere, and good friendly people etc."...anybody?...anybody? |
Don't come down here to redneck city then...
Lol!!!!!

how much more vague can you get? this sounds like a description of any pleasant place you'd like to visit. it could really be manipulated into describing virtually any place. the thing is that you need to weigh each component out. for instance, if you want a good clubbing atmosphere, say Ibiza would be the first place you'd think of but i'm sure you'd find more of a friendly environment and better weather in say...phuket, fiji, or somewhere in the caribbean. |

Conneticut, it's very beautiful. You have to have some money, but near the lighthouse. Anywhere near the beach is awesome. I personally love where I came from, Delaware. Pennsylvania has so much country, it's so peacful and beautiful.
I lived in delaware and now Tampa. I am getting older and I think about actually being old.
Well I can't imagine myself here in tampa, at a mall, at 78, and not feelings old.
In delaware, I wouldn't care because it's just different there, it's a different feeling. You don't feel left out or different.
Anyway, enough emo crap.

Can't believe you said Connecticut :D
I guess the best part is in 2hrs you can reach Boston, NYC, and Providence but connecticut itself doesnt' have much. The winters are horrible, it gets lots of rain in the spring, the home and tax rates are absurd and there isn't much to do.
I can't find the perfect place. I want somewhere 75 year round, within an hour from the ocean, that doesn't rain much, has a good job market in the tech sector, has decent nightlife or is close to a major city (within 1.5hrs), has reasonable home and property rates, has no major natural disasters frequent (hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, mudslides, floods, etc), is not overly congested or polluted, and has a good resale value.
The closest I can find so far in the USA is raleigh, north carolina area. Not the greatest night life but good job market, semi close to the beach, reasonably close to charlotte, good air quality, reasonable home and property rates. Downsides are that it rains more frequent than I like and is prone to hurricanes (as is a lot of the east coast). I looked at Florida as an option but its too hot for me, property rates are really getting too high, crime is very high, palmetto bugs are rampant and I dont like that, its very prone to hurricanes and lots of rain, and is a bit too touristy. |

I'm about 40 miles south of the border into Vancouver, BC, right now. Bellingham, Washington is a nice place as far as the ladies go, but I've had a girlfriend for a year and a half and the weather here is really crappy most of the time. (Wind like none other coming off of the bay, which is literally a stone's throw from school.)
If I could be anywhere else in the world right now... It'd be the beach... Somewhere on an island off the coast of New Zealand.
Give me my woman, some cold drinks, an umbrella to shade my oh-so-white-ass, and a beach towel. That's all I need. |

Vancouver is not bad... wait until you have lived in Surrey, B.C. near the Cloverdale area... Nothing happens down there except the Cloverdale rodeo and the International Women's Fastball Fastpitch league :whip: |

ha, connecticut... new england weather = impossible to deal with for some people. 75 one day, snows the next day. in the winter sometimes gets FREAKING cold and in the summer 95+ heatwaves that stay for weeks... don't forget several feet of snow at least twice every winter :p |

Culturally, North America is terrible. The weather in Canada (in most places) is very cold and snowy in the winter.
The good thing about North America is that there is a lot of space. Also, the economy is relatively good - most people here are wealthy by world standards. We also have very good services and infrastructure. Also, there is very little corruption in day-to-day life. (Although the Canadian federal government is corrupt :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: ).
Overall, I'd much rather live in Spain, especially for culture. |
if I could have my taxes just a bit lower and the summer just a bit longer, i wouldn't want to move anywhere else.
i think having a cold and a hot season is great. Makes the summer just more exciting and you want to live every moment of to its fullest! Its hard to explain. |

yeah .. Vancouver's club scene is , everything is so far away unless you live downtown which is dirty overcrowded and can't never find parking . Women are ok . people are cold and snobby.
From the cities I visited , I liked Frankfurt and Paris , but Milan is my favorite ... so much nice clothing , its unbelievable ..
and of course Belgrade ..
