Avalon is ****ing up the Tiesto night already

| this is why i wanted him to play roxy with made events. made knows their , avalon on the other hand hmmm. nobody seems to know what the hell is up with tix, what the set times are, what the age is i mean cmon now!! i havent even seen a damn flyer for it yet. if you guys know anything that is 100% confirmed post it here cuz we gotta straighten all this out since avalon wont do it for us. it shouldnt be such a hassle to get some damn info geez. |

Fact:
Avalon NYC is 18+.
*However, they advertise it as being 21+ males. This is "unofficially" not the case; thus, if you show up at the door with a 18 ID they will not turn you away. They just do not advertise this concept because they want more 21+s to come to buy their ridicously overpriced drinks. I do not have a 21+ ID and i have visited on both fridays and saturdays without any problems or hold ups. |

now im no lawyer or whatever...but wouldnt that be considered false advertising? And isn't that unlawful??? I dont konw...just a thought... |

| its not false...its not like they arnt allowing 21+ yearolds...avalon boston has the same sketchyness @ times, when you never really know what is going on. |

ok well they're saying that only people aged 21 and over are allowed in...so if their practice is to allow people aged 18 and over, then that means theyre saying one thing and doing the other...again, im no lawyer or anything, but i believe that's lying, which would fall under the category of false advetising...

its kinda funny and i know alot of people are gonna flame me for this but it doesnt really matter...
first off made events at roxy brings what type of crowd? and honestly if you arent aware of it then you are just like the rest...IMHO - made at roxy brings EVERYONE who thinks this party is gonna be hot to ROXY. that is their hook...if you people dont realize it, riddler on KTU is bangin trackselections like TIESTO,TIESTO,FERRY,ARMIN in that order for the past 3 weeks. now dont get me wrong but im kinda disappointed in the scene right now...its wayyyy to mainstream for me. from youngins who are out to be out to the select music enthusiast to the roxy regulars....roxy is the space of exit right now...pointless. i doubt i will ever be in that space again...sorry.
as for avalon...from what i remember avalon's music director was dave ralph. now im not gonna side with the juicehead dress to depress clubbers but being neat and proper definitely attracts a different crowd...along with 21+. avalon has gone under the belt at 18+ now and its turning depressing there as well. im not candy coating any clubs right now but they all basically suck. the nightlife is dwindling or maybe im just getting old even thoo im not really that old lols...
my point being is that people knock avalon by promoting roxy is just ridiculous imho. cmon roxy? big space alot of people average sets - it obviously is never how it use to be and it slowly fades. the days at twilo were small space PACKED GREAT sets, now we are just spoiled with talent...arent you guys saturated with your tiesto, with your armin, with your ferry, with your pvd? its funny the cycle is like every 3 months SOMEONE comes around. and the hype begins but you just saw them recently...unless new tracks keep coming out every month that are bangers then i dont really know how diverse a dj can make his set in a 3mo span.
yea im sorry for the long post, i just see so much hype here that it begins to make TA look like clubplanet.
this is TRANCEADDICT - yes support your trance DJs we all know you do by having multiple threads that are 1,2,3,...last page) but the fact of the matter is we should have people rising in their own sense...tune in to highmay's radio show, local parties and talent, suggestions and questions, but please lets try to refrain from the OMG PVD, OMG TIESTO, OMG AVB, we all know you love'em no need to multiple thread them... |

I'm sure flyers will come out in due time, but...
If there are enough ppl who already know about the Tiesto night, added to the ppl who will go to Avalon anyways just because it's Avalon, then why spend the extra money on flyers, and make the place even more packed than it already is going to be?
Do you really need to know the set times a month in advance?
For a big event like this, I'd advise just coming as early as possible to beat the lines and crowds
Also, try:
1. asking A-Girl
2. calling the club will usually get you the answers you want and need. It has worked for me. |
