Lemme just say that Ive never been a big fan of the guv cause its always a can of hot sardines... but last night, i fell in love with the guv. Mark O ing KILLED... OMG he is a master on the decks... the man has skills. From 12-4am it was off the hook, funky house, breaks, ...... i havent heard many dj's do what mark O can do.
shoutouts to nat and maxtuh (nice to finally meet you)
and BIG PROPS to the guv crew for making this club so good (when its not packed like sardines) |

For those who were at the guv this past saturday, could anyone ID the third last track of Mark's set?? It's the one he played right before "Flash Brothers - Amen".
Thanks. |

I look up to Mark cause it's guaranteed that you will have the best atmosphere everytime! |
As much as I respect Mark Oliver, I have to disagree with that last statement.
Sometimes(especially before or after headliners) he is absolutely brilliant, and often outplays the headliners. However there were more than a couple of occasions when I went to Guv on a regular night and was bored to death. Note, that not it's like that all the time - I'd have to say it's a 50/50 whether Mark will spin great stuff on a regular night.
SO yeah, for me, at least, going to Guv on a regular night is like playing a lottery. You might get lucky and witness the "Mark The Headliner" set, or if you are unlucky you'll be hearing "Mark please change the music" set. |

ill admit that sometimes what mark is playing isnt exactly what id go for but you have to remember that a club like guvernment has thousands of people that need to be kept happy. Also, in 9 hours there are always going to be parts of the night you like and parts you dont. 9 hours is a hell of a long time to have to try and play music that EVERYONE will like.
And since ive come back from South America i can honestly say that ive never heard mark oliver play finer stuff in my life. |

Mark played a wicked set before Corsten arrived. My peeps and I had an awesome time hearing him spin at the Guv that nite.

Well I remember Mark playing an amazing set before Ferry in fall 2002, but that was long time ago ; ))) |
