OK....russia and canada have the same amount of world championship titles (= TIED_
Canada has 5 of the world cup of hockey titles...USSR has 1, USA has 1
so out of 7....we have 5 of them...don't believe me..look it up.
every year, the stanley cup is won by a team led by a CANADIAN...go back many yrs, prove to me that a russian led his team to the stanley cup with the exception of federov because we all know detroit was led by Steve Yzerman and Shannahan.

When the Russians were "owning" Canada at the Worlds and the Olympics, it is because they always sent their best players. The best Canadian players weren't allowed to compete since they were pros so Canada would be represented by amateur league teams at these competitions.
