i don't care what your most embarassing moments were (although some of them were quite embarassing and quite funny). i want to know what your most frightening moment in life was. sorry to be knockin on doors that prefer to remain shut, but i'm just curious to know if it was having a bad hair day or looking death in the face. feel free to not reply to the thread or read it if it will bring you bad memories. i'm not trying to bring out anyone's personal demons or anything. that should be enough of a disclaimer i hope. as for me, i've had many frightening moments in my life. let's say if i was a cat, i would have used 5 out of 9 lives so far. it's hard to say which was the most frightening but i'll pick one.
i think the most frightening experience i've ever had was when i was in high school. it was a saturday or sunday morning (don't remember which) and i was peacefully sleeping when i was woken up by my mother screaming. i am a very heavy sleeper so i didn't wake up to the first scream, but when my brain finally registered i heard my mom screaming for my dad. so i jumped out of bed and ran to my sister's room, and my sister was in a hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) reaction (she's a diabetic). and i remember her lying on her bed thrashing around and convulsing and looking so pale. i remember just standing there powerless not being able to help my sister and thinking she was gonna die right in front of my eyes. i don't really know what happened but somehow we got some sugar in her and the paramedics came and gave her some iv glucose and she was fine. but it was the scariest thing watching my sister die in front of my very eyes. as far as i can recall, that was also the last time i cried. so that's mine although i have others that come close. curious to see about the rest of ya.

Her is mine:
2 years ago i was practicing for a big soccer tournament and ran with the ball, then suddenly out of nowhere some kid jumped in front of me and i slipped and fell down and passed out.. i woke up about 2 minutes later and all my friends were like "you're OK?? Alon, you're OK right???" but i didn't see them.. so i tried to say that i can't see but no sound came out of my mouth.. my friends saw i'm trying to speak but can't so they took me to one of my friends house (he lives like 1 minute from there), and asked me to write down what i want to say so i wrote "i can't speak and i can't see, call my dad".. so they called him and he came there and took me to hospital and in someway they fixed so i could talk, but i still couldn't see.. and the doctor said that only time will cure that, so we went home and every 3 days i came to hospital to do some tests.. and after about 2-3 weeks i finaly could see clearly.
I can still remember thinking that i'll be blind for the rest of my life.. it was the scariest thing in my life!

| I've had a couple of scary moments the worst one was due to my own stupidity, this was around September last year. Me and some friends went clubbing to go and watch JFK, anyway as usual I was slightly drunk when got there and a friend approach me and said there was some cool pills in town, they were the really strong mitsibishis, anyway I decided to by two for me and one of my mates, anyway I'd brought them in the corner of the club from the dealer, but to my shock I thought the bouncers had spotted me buying them so like a twat i decide to double drop the gear I got, anyway the bouncers hadn't spotted me they were viewing an arguement from a safe distance and getting prepared to break it up the scene was happening right near me so I thought ' what have I done alcohol and pills don't mix in my books, so I walk oer to my mates and being really cool and chatty for an hour then suddenely it ing hits me I'm cpompletly mongoed, I couldn't even stand up, and my head felt like it was going to explode, then I tried to really sober up, but suddenely I'd lost my mates, and basicially lost my sight sort of I could see about 2 feet ahead of me, I tried to seriously sober up, but the door staff noticed how ed I was and chucked me out of the club, I was lucky a mate spotted it and walked me back to his house, their I really start to feel ed I couldn't even talk, his girlfriend gets all hysterical and ing freaks me out I honestly thought I was going to die, my mate deserves a ing hero award for that night cos I seriously thought I was going die drank about 7 pints of water at his house, but in the morning I regreted that the comedown from hell, but I took pills once or twice after that, but don't touch them now, must say that was ing scariest moment of my life, even if I was out of my face I thought I was dying. |

Mine was probably when I used to get sleep paralysis. I've mentioned it before on the boards. It happens just before you fall asleep, or just after you wake up. I used to get it just before I fell asleep. I'd just be drifting off when I realised I couldn't move at all. It's not a dream, you really are awake, but your body has made a up and paralysed itself to early or something. So you're lying there in the dark unable to move and the panic is growing and you just want to shout out. Often it's accompanied by a feeling that you're being watched, or that somebody it standing next to the bed but you can't see them. Then just as you think the fear is going to take over you, you snap out of it an fall asleep. In reality it only takes several seconds I think, but of course it seems like a lifetime. |

Scary moments eh? (yhis is the most recent, there was another one much scarier but that one is kinda ugly) well it happened to me like a month ago (i posted this that same weekend i believe).
Me and some friends were driving to a party that was gonna be held in a very nice place some really cool DJ were gonna spin so we drove over 200 kilometers to get rthere and when we were almost arriving...there was this huge police operative (like 50 +) ploice men including the federlas, all dressed up in black carrying machine guns and night vision googles....I had an E pill and an acid blotter, another firnd was carrying a lot of MJ, and so forth..we were kinda packed with drugs (totally illegal in here) and if they caught us wioth that i was jail for all of us. we attempted to go back but they spotted us and nuthin' could be done excpet pull over and start speaking. aventually we stepped out of the car and the feds checked us thank god they found nothing on us (everything was safely hidden) and they let us go after 20 mins. then we found out that we were the last car that wasn't checked so hard..We knew that they (the feds) arrested arround 300 people for drug possesion and stuff. man I was so scared I couldn't speak. |

| ing hell Spad that sleep thing sounds scary as hell, I'd go mad if that happened to me, Daffer I've heard of situations simular to that one must be a scary one. And that link Tekhnohead yeah scary he must be on some weird drugs or something, or just going mad. |

well guys, some scary there, But this is a true story which didnt happen to me but a mate... if it happened to me, i would prob be spastic serial killer or some now i rekon....
Well my friend went out for walks late at night, klike 3am and stuff, he would walk long distances and dark places which dont have street lights and stuff, any way, on night he is walking and he walks past a guy, after he walks past him, the guy stops turns around and starts following my friend. Pulls a knife out and puts it against his backj and tells him to walk... as they are walking he starts talkin to my friend saying some like, "im gonna cut your eyes out" "im gonna cut your ears off", after a few blocks of walking my friend takes him past his friends place, at the entrance he just bolts into his friends house, bangs on the door, wakes him up and tell him to get his gun, they went looking for the guy but couldnt find him...
He said if he found that guy he would of killed him.... =P i prob do the same... that would be scary... would never want to be in a situation like that! :eyes: |

It reminds me of something that happened a couple of years ago. The road I live in backs onto a small woodland area, and my mates house is in a road on the other side of it. So when I went round there I used tocust through the woods. Thing is, when it was dark and I was on my way home I had two options. Cut through the woods (about 10 minutes) or take the road around it (about 50 minutes). So anyway I'd always walk through the woods, pitch black, and of course halfway across I'd start thinking "why the did I do this?" but I'd always do it the next time too.
Anyway on my of my nighttime walks I was half way across, walking down the path minding my own business, looking up at the sky through the trees because that's my only light when BANG! I bump into somebody. Scared the living out of me. Anyway, thing was this guy was just as scared as I was. I heard him say and then we both ran off in opposite directions :)
Never walked through there in the dark again. |

| We've done something simular to that, there was 5 of us one time walked through the park when it was really dark to take a shortcut, well half way along we felt we we're like being watched, so we countinue on, 10 minutes later I swear we could her someone like ing screaming like they were being raped or murdered, so we walk towards these swings and sit down and try to pin where the noise is coming from, when we sit their my friend says shes seen someone over by these trees, everyone ing freaks there may be 5 of us but like what if this is a complete psycho, so we keep watching then me and another friend spot this figure, and the screaming starts, so we all grab some thick branches from the floor and walk over, when we get there no ones there. I don't weather it was someone playing a trick with us, but I doubt it someone going to follow us for 10 minutes and try to scare us, well anyway it was ing scary. |

actually it is pretty funny when you come to think about it :)

anyway My friend had a similar situation, exept he was riding with his bicycle. He was going home and it was so dark he couldn't see 1metre ahead. anyway he speeded up looking forward of getting home, and BOOM all of a sudden he hits another bicyler :) both fell off their bicycles. He was very shocked and the other bicyler was probably too... anyways my friend jumped on his bicyle and cycled away fast :) Never found out who'd he had hit :) |
