Ice Hockey Fights

| I downloaded this video and 2 players just stop, and start fighting..the referee's just watch and act like they were boxing referee's..what the is this? is this allowed in the rules? very weird.. |

International ice hockey rules doesn't support fights but NHL rules supports so that's the reason. ;) |

| They basically moderate. Once gloves are off, they don't break it up unless it gets really nasty, others join in or one guy is getting thoroughly pummeled. |

| i think the refs are a little afraid to step in. they might catch a shot to the face and get knocked out. you rarely see any fights once the playoffs. goalie fights are the best. |

I think NHL refs only stop it if:
another player jumps in
one (or both) of the players fall to the ice |

this is correct. hockey fights are only stopped if it involves more than two people or if someone falls over...
i love the sport. i kinda wish i had played when i was younger.. |
