no, I'm saying that since asiaphile white americans are so "into" asian females that they like them physically when they are ugly in NORMAL non obsessed asiaphile standards. |
And what would these beauty standards be? You said Lucy Liu is ugly, whereas I think she's very cute (but I don't think Ayumi Hamasaki is attractive... or that girl from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon).

YES, it is different there. I know all countries get hollywood movies but do you have conan o brian, jay leno, the majority of all standup comics reusing the same old stereotypes? |
We have Faustão, Didi... they don't use more stereotypes because they can't. |

LMAO! You generalise way too much. You take what maybe a few people say e.g. asian women being are oppressed, delicate, exotic, oversexed, and need to be liberated" and apply it to everyone. I think that you should stop playing ing victim here, and stop being a ****. |

lucy liu on the left, based on acting skills and looks there would be no way she would be able to get a job in any other country as an actress |

no one says that , it's whats inside the mind of an asiaphile
do you realize how many white people go to parts of asia to find prostitues? they take advantage of the people there
http://www.asianwhite.org/afwm/why.html
| quote: | | A none asian male who prefers asian women. This attracation is based on shallow perceptions and media stereotypes of asian women. An asianphile believes asian women are better to screw aroud with because they think they are more submissive and much weaker. |
even urbandictionary.com knows more than you
| quote: | A white male with a sexual interest in Asian culture and Asian women.
The Asiaphile browses Asian porn sites and has a secret Asian porn collection. He can usually name 3 or 4 Asian porn stars off the top of his head. He hangs out on AsianAvenue and Asian-American oriented message boards, adopts an Asian-sounding screen name, and pretends to be Asian.
In college, he takes Asian studies courses, tries to learn an Asian language, and is constantly trying to talk to Asian women.
The Asiaphile eats at Chinese buffet restaurants and thinks he's immersing himself in Asian culture. He tries to impress the waitress with his ability to use chopsticks and recite a few lines of Chinese.
Despite the Asiaphile's claim to be interested in "everything Asian", he almost always has no Asian friends except for his Asian girlfriend/wife.
The Asiaphile often makes sly remarks about how Asians are "hardworking", "polite", and "obedient". Yet despite the Asiaphile's supposed respect for Asian people, he addresses Asians in a patronizing, condescending tone that he would never use to speak to other white people.
A more advanced Asiaphile travels to Asia, supposedly to "teach English" or "complete a doctoral thesis", where he is seen patronizing brothels and massage parlors. He will try to pick up women with lines like "Ni Hao" or "Konnichiwa". Finally the Asiaphile meets his dream Asian wife, has a mixed child, and then gets divorced years later, when his misunderstanding of Asian people finally drives the relationship apart.
The Asiaphile is one of the lowest life forms on this planet

the last one is great
and in the media asians are GENERIC asians, they are a mix of stereotypes. they have the cantonese mimic talk "ching chong", the korean eyes, the japanese komono, or an ancient chinese robe |

mndeg: the problem with your arguement is that it only goes one way
Are Asian women exploiting white men? Are they using them for their position and power?
Do they not find white men attractive?
You yourself are stereotyping white men! |

yes, yes, and yes
they are practically made for each other, but like the quote on the other page, there's rarely a happy ending
My stepbrother whose mom is chinese had a chinese dad, they are now divorced. now his mom married a white guy and they had a mixed child. his mom practically doesn't even care about him, she's trying to change his last name to an American one
im not stereotyping anyone, the syndrome clearly exists
I didnt say everyone

I agree with mndeg but not for the same reason.
My only concern is the choosing of a partner based upon race. That's the one thing you should leave out of your calculations. |

I'll stop the jokes as I'm off to bed.
mndeg, have you realised you managed to hijack this thread with posts that didn't have anything to do with the original topic? Andy wanted to know who was asian and suddenly you flipped out as it was some thread about miscigenation... and it's not. Your stereotypes are quite annoying/funny after a while (about races, about music,...). Don't you think you're taking it too seriously, and generalising too much? Take less time judging people and more time trying to understand them (or even yourself: why does this issue bother you so much? Is it because of other people or because of your own life)
I'm too sleepy to make more sense. If this post is useful, great. If it's useless... well, +1 :D |
