What, I can only speculate.
maybe you could explain, if you wish to do so.
I have the full (5min 41sec). That is not something I am glorifying. That is to say that in order for me to explain some of the nuances of the vid (as horrific as it truly is) it's important to have an original a copy as possible, as opposed to some of the re-compressed last minute and a half of the vid that a lot of sites are pimping.
The Khilafah link has a valid point. Whoever is reading the statement and is the one eventually commits the murder, whether it is Zarawy or not, does appear to be wearing a ring. A big shiny one at that, on his right ring finger. Is it gold? Is it silver? Class of '81? I cant tell. If I were to hazard a guess I'd say gold at first but due to the poor quality and lousy compression (150Kbs) and heavy red shift in the camera it definately suspect. you can manipulate the tones for a more natural look and kinda looks silver but that is artificial.
The audio is more interesting actually. For some reason, whether done on purpose or not the audio is 6 seconds ahead of the video. In the middle of the vid while reading his statement he is seen clearing his throat or coughing slightly, but is heard still reading. And you hardly notice it until he stops reading and proceeds to commit the horrible act because you hear Berg start to scream while Zarqawy is still reading. Despite the feedback in the mic creating a hall effect you can surmise that it is a moderate size room but isn't like a gymnasium or any thing. If that means anything? The audio is however good enough to conclude that the the man whoever he is, is arab. I'm not a linguist or anything but after listening to him speak, right away I was convinced that he is Arab. And after listening several more times I'm still convinced. Once and only once the on the far right is seen nodding as if in agreement with what is just being stated. Which is consistent with the notion that they are all arab or at least that guy. If you read the English transcript of Zarqawy's statement It is in the typical Islamic prose or narrative whatever (again I'm not a linguist) this combined with the unmistakable dialect make this man Arab IMO.
As far as the idea that the man in the vid is not Zarqawy because he doesn't exhibit a limp consistent with a man wearing a prosthetic limb is inconclusive IMO. After tortureously subjecting myself thru repeated exanination of the movements of Zarqawy (with the audio off of course) while he is "slicing" I noticed that he is bending over at the back and not at the knees like you would expect he would considering what he is doing. the knees are slightly bent but only slightly. It looks kind of an awkward position for a man doing that while his victim is belly down on the floor. One more thing. For the first half of the vid while he's reading, Zarqawy's body is fairly motionless save for the head movement and his turning the pages of the statement he's reading. To me it looks as if he is favoring his right leg? as he is standing motionless evidenced by his shoulders being off plane down to his left. The other s around him every one and awhile shift their footing like you normally would just standing around waiting for something to happen. I don't know? is all this signifigant? maybe. It's all about the details.

NASR: Oh, I find it very interesting, because out of the blue, there is a mention of al Qaeda on the U.S. government translation. It says: "Does al Qaeda need any further excuses?" Any speaker of the Arabic language is going to notice a difference between the word al Qaeda, which means "the base," and al qaed, which means "the one sitting, doing nothing." |

I'm sorry it makes you uncomfortable to point out discrepencies in this particular case. Of course I am not of a 100% belief that this was a conspiracy of sorts, but I do think it is both relevant and interesting to point out certain discrepencies that give way to certain speculations.
Is it all true? Maybe, maybe not (probably not), but it is interesting. Am I running over to re-open the case on who shot JFK? Am I running to re-open Whitewater?
No, and no.
I just think the speculation on this is interesting and possibly worth a second look. So with that in mind, is there anything specific about these discrepencies that you wish to address? |

Michael Berg said the FBI investigated the matter more than a year ago. He stressed that his son was in no way connected to the terrorists who captured and killed him.
Government sources told CNN that the encounter involved an acquaintance of Zacarias Moussaoui -- the only person publicly charged in the United States in connection with the September 11, 2001, terror attacks.
According to Berg, his son was taking a course a few years ago at a remote campus of the University of Oklahoma near an airport. He described how on one particular day, his son met "some terrorist people -- who no one knew were terrorists at the time."
At one point during the bus ride, Berg said, the man sitting next to his son asked if he could use Nick's laptop computer.
"It turned out this guy was a terrorist and that he, you know, used my son's e-mail, amongst many other people's e-mail who he did the same thing to," Berg said.
Government sources said Berg gave the man his password, which was later used by Moussaoui, the sources said.
The sources said the man who used Berg's e-mail knew Moussaoui, now awaiting trial on federal charges that could bring a death sentence. But the sources would not disclose details of how the men were connected.
Moussaoui, 36, was arrested in August 2001 after he aroused suspicion at a Minnesota flight school when he arrived for 747 simulator training without holding a pilot's license. A French national of Moroccan descent, Moussaoui has admitted in open court that he belonged to al Qaeda, the radical Islamic group behind the September 11 attacks, which killed nearly 3,000 people.
But Moussaoui has fiercely denied being involved in the September 11 plot, and the prosecutors' theory of his role has shifted from being a possible 20th hijacker that day to possibly piloting a fifth hijacked jetliner targeting the White House.
Berg said his son cooperated fully with an FBI investigation into the matter.
"He was happy to cooperate, and that was never an issue," he said. He emphasized that the individual was not a friend of his son's or even an acquaintance -- "just a guy sitting next to him on the bus."
"Whoever was next to my son was treated with great respect and friendship. Like I said, he knew no dangers from people. The FBI were satisfied with that."

You know, I'm honestly not sure what to think of all this. I'm pretty skeptical of all conspiracies, and I am damn skeptical of this one. Still, this is just a little bit strange. |
