I think they are aiming for a different market. Hopefully this will make Trance more mainstream here in Toronto. It's better for all of us this way - more great DJs will be coming our way and hopefully big parties will start happening again.
Whether I will go or not depends primarily on one one thing: DJ Line-up. If they are able to compete with Guv in terms of line-ups, then yeah I'm there ! I'm not a big fan of the line-up during the opening night. Godskitchen should be able to bring someone bigger than Acosta.
As for all this talk about Danny T, Digweed etc. That is nothing but talk - a good strategy by promoter to attract interest of potential customers. Right now I don't buy it! Hopefully I'll be proved wrong. |

Well, if you want to make Trance more mainstream there is a need for "tricks" like these. What gino is going to want to go to the Docks simply to hear some George Acosta about whom he's never heard before ? |

| I guess you just elaborated my point in a little bit more detail. This isnt geared towards most of us, and we wont be attending unless you bring quality dj's and not quality hoes and bitches. |

Personally I think Bad Ass Bitches would be more geared to a hip hop night or sum'n. Godskitchen should be associating themselves with something above this level of marketing. Like really, their name alone got most if not all of our attention. So follow that up with a stellar opening night line-up. Truly that lineup does nothing to compete with what Guvernment, Boa or even System has been bringing in lately. I think the opening night should have featured at least one or two DJs we've become accustomed to being associated with the name of Godskitchen.
This summer is definitely going to be hot and at the moment Guvt has got the lockdown on the hottest names in the biz coming in the next month alone. I would really like to see Godskitchen back their night up with a big name or two slated to spin. Don't simply just throw names around without any confirmation - that's just setting up for a whole flame thread.
Personally I'm glad the Docks has gone out and done a great job of getting itself ready to compete with Guvt and Boa by hooking up some kickass lighting and sound and some awesome new renovations. However, the real way to get this all started is to bring in some big names and not just a bunch of 103.5 heroes. Manzone & Strong are great but the rest are nowhere indicitive of the kind of talent a company like Godskitchen should be bringing in. |

| who advertises their dancers, i mean advertising should be about the attraction ie the dj, not the dancers , that is secondary to the night. Also i have never seen any other club advertise their dancers on their flyer is it cause they werent able to book a dj and had to fill the flyer up |

they are trying to advertise to people who care about who the dancers are and how hawt they look .. :D
