Well well.. aren't they useful little buggers...

Tell you a little story of my mobile, taking my my girl out on our 7th month, we headed for luna park, rides were good, food was crap, had a mad day, until ... i went on the pirate ship ride/thing.

Upside down, my old one (8210) decided it was time to high tail outta my pocket, i was wearing a demin jacket. Mind you it decided to do this while we were upside down about 15 metres up in the air.

Cut a story short, the thing fell on nice thick n hard concrete, never again will it ever make another call again, if ur interested in pic's ill take sum later. lol.

Now im in the search for another fone, anyways just thought u might wanna have alittle laugh... i was actually lauffing when a little girl came to me n asked if this was the phone that i had dropped.

Morbid, but what was i gonna do, start crying, not really, in times like those all you can do is laugh...

That sucks bass!

Get a 5100, I reckon that phone would have survived the drop. :D
Chookie
It does suck when that happens, I got a new phone about a year ago, my old phone broke after about 4 years!
gilmista
that sux dude..

i lost my 8850 (when it just came out) in the snow somewhere on the mountain.. atleast u know ur phone has passed away - although a tragic death by means of falling from a pyrate ship - whereas mine could still be somewhere 2 metres down below covered in snow.. calling for me.

poor baby.. R.I.P

Another thing, is the sim card alright???

Losing the sim card could be as damaging as losing/breaking the handset as God knows how many phone numbers you have stored in the address book - and if you're one of those lazy people like me [about 98% of everybody :p] you would not have memorized every single number.
But of course you could just get the numbers of a friend's mobile :D

groovy, u work selling mobile fones - PLEASE tell me u have a fone that is capable of transferring all the info from the sim card to ur pc!! u of all ppl should have that :p

so yeah, bass make sure ur new fone has that capability - whether it be via a cable u hook to ur pc, or infrared - mine has infrared, so in the space of about 10 seconds i can copy all my numbers and sms's from my sim card to my laptop....it's sooooooooooo great - now i never have to worry bout my sim dying or getting stolen, cos i have all my numbers saved elsewhere....it's a MUST!!!!

on groovy's recommendation, i got the samsung c100 a few months ago - i love it...it has all the features i need, minus the ones i'd never use....all for super cheap as well :)

and btw, i feel ur pain - but i should say thanku - cos now when i'm riding rollercoasters in europe i'll always remember not to leave my fone in my pocket!!!

-=M=-
get a nokia 6600 - they fkn wicked

but my n-gage will always own all
Vigilante
Are you a pre-paid man or a plan man???

Personally, i didn't have the steady income for a plan, so i went with Vodafone Red-sim.

Vodafone Red sim is definitely the best of the pre-paids - you can get 60 free SMS messages with every new credit top-up, 40c for 10 minutes to any Vodafone, any time (lasting up to about 1 1/2 hours per month), as well as 60c/minute call rate or something like that.

As for phones, i would always recommend Nokia for their ease of use and their good product and price range. I had a Motorola, and it died, it died (from the Georges River :p) Now i have a Nokia 2100, which is good enough for what i need from a phone.
