As far as paintball guns go, a great starter gun is the Tippmann Custom 98. One of the most popular models on the market, the Tippmann is also extremely flexible and versitile - there are thousands of upgrades and ticked out packages to add on to the gun.
Don't even bother buying a fully auto gun. No paintballer will even bother playing with you. NOBODY likes playing with someone that has a fully auto paintball gun. Additionally, a fully auto gun teaches you poor skills, and will hold you back from developing as a player.
There are hair trigger kits and upgrades that you can get for the traditional paintball guns - I've heard of some people boasting they could knock out an insane amount of paintballs a second (equivalent to auto guns in short bursts)with a custom double trigger kit and a twitchy finger.
For some great starter kits and apparel, check out http://www.onlinepaintball.ca/

its better to get a group cause it would be alot cheaper. the paint is alot cheaper its like $110 for 2000 rounds with a group its like $70 and also $35 for registration(comes with gun and mask) |

ah paintball
first college i did ICT, first year people went paintballing for fun.. it was like 100 people fighting each other 4 sides..
so i was like crouching seeking enemies..then i see this dude shoot him and hit..but he suddenly shootback, i say hey you suppose to be dead..
he didn't respond
SO I ING FIRED 40 bullets..from like 10 meter distant, and he cried..
