Story

Greenpeace is standing trial in the US after a legal action launched by the Attorney General. If successful, Greenpeace will become an illegal organisation, and be unable to campaign in the US.

Firstly that not looking too good or the old "freedom of speech".

Secondly thouse Greenpeace people don't fully understand half the issues they talk about. They get on TV and its always some freak with a crazy do speaking e about something they obviously know nothing about. And not only that but being passionate about it.......

Knowing them I wouldn't be surprised if there was no proof that actually was illegal. As if it was would the US allow it?

The organization encourages its members to commit crimes as acts of "peaceful" protest.

If their protests weren't illegal, they wouldn't be in this situation. There are plenty of other environmental advocacy groups which don't see the need to commit crimes to get their point across.

It's about time the government cracked down on sailor mongering.

I had never heard of Hamilton Casara in my entire life... but if they say he's a former president of Ibama... oh well :p

Anyway, I know this will sound harsh for some of you who don't live in Brazil, but sincerely, I hope this will take them out of Amazon.

(If anyone feels offended by the above statement and wants and explanation, I shall type it in the weekend, as I'm a bit short of time right now).

 give me a f**king break.

Greenpeace was apparently funnelling tax exempt funds thru illegal means. (money laundering)

They are also in direct violation Claifornia business and professions codes.

thats besides the fact their guerilla tacticts have become steadily more overt and have always been illeagal.

But please lets bash Bush for Ashcroft doing his job.

Janet Reno would have squashed this by now but I'll bet Rubik cube wouldnt have posted a thread about it.
