Check out Scooter - "Cosmos" & "Vallee De Larmes", some pretty cool trance tracks. And besides their stupid commercial releases they made some nice B-sides.

Scooter? To me scooter screams of "euro trash" not euro trance. Someone wanted me to get them a scooter vid, so I got it and there was scooter scraming "how much is the fish" I don't think you are supposed to take his music seriously.
If you like Harder trance, Kai Tracid has made several good songs, I liked "Too Many Times," "Tiefenrausch_(The_Deep_Blue)" and to a lesser extent "life_is_too_short"
a new live set by kai tracid is on d2k.
I still don't know exactly what is meant by Kai Tracid = trance + acid? |

ha, it's funny how a lot of people are saying that scooter is trash, but then they say that he has a couple of nice songs-->if you look at it in general, turns out that people like half of his songs:rolleyes:
besides, i've seen too many posts about scooter on this messageboard lately. what's going on? |

no fate is one of my favorites. besides, not all of scooter's songs were written by Baxxter, Rick, or Axel. from the top of my head, "i'm raving" is a rework/rewording of some soft rock song; "how much is the fish" has samples of some native Irish bagpipe melody or something; i'm not sure about "the age of love", but i think someone told me it wasn't original either.
anyway, if not for scooter, i would not be on this messageboard. i would probably be getting high or drunk while listening to either rap or metal somewhere on the street. because of scooter i'm a TA! |

first of all: you are all wrong, kai tracid's label tracid traxx is definitely NOT hardtrance but HARDSTYLE, only dj merlyn on the sublabel supplies the hardtrance
i was on qlubtempo, and what kai played there was real bangin'

well I would bet that if you ask Kai Tracid if his label is "hardstyle" he would say no, because I have never heard anyone use this word in germany...and he is german. Definitions vary around the globe, some people say I play hardtrance mixes with hardhouse, but those are mainly from the UK, noone in germany would call it hardhouse.
For me, Tracid Trax is a hardtrance / acid-techno label. So please don't tell anyone he's ALL WRONG. |
