i saw your tracklist of your mix SONNY-BOY...what kindda 14 year old girlie musis is that man...
and you know kai personaly....my arse....if you know him you would know his style is HARDSTYLE
ask him about qlubtempo or qlimax what he played there....hardtrance or hardstyle....if you know kai, you already know the answer just like i do

I just got a liveset from him from d2k and its very good, I like it because it sounds different from my other livesets which are all tiesto, armin, and ferry.

Scooter is a fckn shame and should not be mentioned in this forum, he is a fake ass super commercial prick, he belongs and certainly resides in the same league as alice dj, dumonde and that gigi augustino dude.
Scooter is like the backstreetboys of house music.
I feel sorry for all who think this is trance music, if anybody will ever tell me he likes that i will laugh at him and walk away.
It's music for little kids and sad people who don't know better!
Like said before me it's EURO TRASH, he should take his damn fish and stick it....
Nuff said.
Oh one more thing, Kai Tracid is like the complete opponent and out there rockin with the best!!!!!

First of all, sorry if some of the things were already said, I didn't read the entire topic...
I'm not very familiar with Kai Tracid, "Too Many Times" is a 8.5/10 track FS...
Scooter are my fav artist, I'm pretty much a Scooter freak.
They're signature's ofcourse HP Baxxer the MC ;)
They are very hated on most forums I surf cause in Gemrany they've had quite some success so they are "Comercial", ppl also blame them for ripping of other artist, but if you just listen to the actual music... Well, that's why they're my no.1, they just strike my weak spots...
2 of they're members were in a synth-pop band called "Celebrate the Nun" in 87-91...
Then they went with Jens Thele (Now owner of KOntor records) and formed "The Loop!" which was quite succesful as remixing project and Jens untill today is considered the 4th member of Scooter.
They released Valle'e De Larmes as first single, it was quite underground...
The first official one was Hyper Hyper which was quite a success, followed up by "Move Your Ass", and then it just went on...
they also made some downtempo tracks, (Celebrate the Nun retro?) such as Break it Up adn She's the Sun.
Anyways, after they put out a best of album in '98 Ferris Bueller left for a solo (Pop :((( ) carrier and in came Axel Coon, and they've had a massive change in style from Happy hardcore/ Rave and faster tunes to the more comlicated (IMO) Techno- Trance music.
They've had their biggest hit since Hyper with "How Much Is The FIsh" which is well known... Fasterharderscooter was also a HUGE hit, it actually reached MTV european top twenty no. 8 !
You probably also know " The Millenium".
Then they put out the "Sheffield" album and that was a year of lot of criticism of them :( :(
Afterwards, they wanted to show that ppl tag them before they hear 'em, so they put out a single as Ratty called "Sunrise (Here I Am)" which was very successfull on the more underground scene that usually rejected Scooter. And then they released "Posse (I Need You On the Floor)" which was the most succesfull one in a while, and "Aiii Shot the DJ" that was promoted bad and didn't do very well, buut ALL CLUBBERS SHOULD CHECK OUT THE "Bite The Bullet" MIX.
Also, anyone finding Posse too comercial should check the Club/ Teebee mixes.
They're very new single is "Ramp! (The Logical Song)" which samples Supertramp song from the seventies...
They will very soon release a second best of album.
By the way, Scooter helped several artist produce tracks, the only one I remember is Sunbeam, in several ocasions.
P.S. Ratty did remixes for Marc et Claude, Starsplash, Gouryella and ATB...

1. The Age of Love samples the theme from Terminator 2, I'm raving samples "Scotland the brave" and "Rebbel Yell" is a cover...
2. If you see them as too commercial, please check out these:
Scooter- The Pusher 2 / The Pusher 1 / Sunrise (Ratty's Inferno) / New Year's Day / Greatest Beats.
3. I'm also one who would probably be listening to Will Smith or five or someone like that if it wasn't for Scooter!
Even some older folks I know who hate Scooter now say Scooter did help um into the scene, and these are ppl who listen to Astral Projection, Tiesto etc. |

Hey TranceEnergy, there is NO need for insulting me or calling me names. That doesn't help your opinion at all and is rude.
So you saw one of my tracklists, which one? And if you think that's music for 14 year old girlies, what does a real man like you listen to?
I never said I KNOW Kai Tracid, but I DJed with him so I said if I meet him again I will ask him.
And about the definition of his music, my point was that I am a DJ from Germany and so is Kai, and I NEVER heard anybody use the term "hardstyle" for ANY music. So how should "listening to it again" convince me that it is not hardtrance...does it say so in the music?
What are definitions, anyway?
