Seriously. I don't get what people are getting in a bind over. This is pretty obvious to the veteran listener.

To the original poster, you undermine yourself a bit in citing Envio, Above & Beyond, and Mark Otten. Those producers neatly fall into the uncreative uplifting trance category.

word, altho i still like many of the tracks they make i still think its less worth than a forward thinking production, it's the somewhat cheese-loving side to me that i will never get rid off.
but for the records satellite is trash, inner warth was dull, and ashkan fardost ffs, get rid of that guitar sound.

much love

its funny how

- Luke Chable
- Matthew Dekay
- Markus Schulz
- Above & Beyond (keeping it original, thank god)
- Scott Bond (his new CD is surprisingly diverse)
- Ozgur Can
- Grayarea
- Perry O'Neil
- Pinkbox Special
- Envio (the only three tracks I've heard from him have been mind blowing)

are the leading edge in formulated garbage along with tard van buuren. It seems like you dont even listen to much trance, maby you should turn off asot once in a while.

need to shut it...

Shouldve posted this in the first thread. I understand youre stating your opinion but we have so many of these threads exactly like this and people who have been here for a while get tired of it becasue nothing good comes from it. My opinion, you want better uplifting? Get in the studio but complaingin like this gets absolutely nothing done and doesnt really mean to anyone just my opinion and a little advice if you plan on staying on this board.

I plan on it. And its true I posted more that I like than I don't like but I could easily even it out, I just wanted to post more that I like to show that I'm more optimistic about EDM than the title led on...

I know, but they're what I consider to be quality uplifting rather than formulated producers.

You make many valid points, but your argument is critically weakened by the above, which I've quoted for the following reasons:

You say Ton TB has gone downhill since Carrera 2. This strikes me as a comment made by someone who has not heard all the superb, underrated productions the man has done since then under his various guises (including Tangled Universe, Fate Federation). If anything he has gotten better since 2002, and is now rightfully getting the exposure he deserves with the impending release of Dream Machine. Well done I say.

Signum is also on your "list" due apparently to Coming On Strong being weak? Since this track was released 5 years ago I presume you really mean Come Around Again, which I must agree is a tune. However, this is the only blemish on their record and you'll find that their newest track, The Timelord, makes up for this misstep quite nicely. Don't judge producers on one bad track, nobody's perfect.

Then on the positive side, you mention, after a lengthy list of mostly progressive producers, Envio. I'm afraid that doesn't exactly give you much credibility since Envio is perhaps the worst culprit when it comes to producing fluffy, soulless, samey trance.

In the end though, you're saying the same things that have been said ad nauseum here for heaven knows how long, so you can hardly blame us for responding in less than civil fashion. Yes, the trance scene is not what it used to be. Yes, there are a lot of tunes being released. Such is life. Come to terms with it, and adapt to it, like the rest of us have, or will do.

Haha, first of all I never expected a "civil" response (this is TA.com and its more active than ever). In fact, I expected something like this. I think these discussions are important because they examine your musical intresets on a more holistic level than tune a rox, tune b sux.

Ton TB - I hated Dream Machine (sounded exactly like Goldenscan - Sunrise with a few note changes), and his other prodctions. Sorry :(

Signum - True, I do appreciate the vast majority of their discography, but I put them on my list because as of late I have not been impressed (downloading Timelord right now tho!)

Envio - I like him, his music strikes a different chord in my mind, I don't know why but maybe its the less generic of the generic uplifting trance genre, I duno :D
Zureal
you're all crazy

PETRAN
The artist in your signature, Kosmas Epsilon(architect!!!). Probably the BEST producer ever(!!!!!) Oh yeah nathan fake, petter, perry o'neil also dope. Above and Beyond and envio on the other side...
