alcohol is bad!

After last week-end I have learnt that alcohol is a bad drug as well. I ve never thaught that I could get out of control, because Ive been loade severly times before and I was just happy and talking . But this time I had somewhat like a bad trip. I was @ a challenge with my sportclub(hornussen, just some swiss guys know about this). after such a challenge its common to sit down with all the members and celebrate a bit(even if you have nothing to celebrate). So all was fine I met many people and had a good time. This celebration was like a party, ->with alcohol. So I was loaded very early(we finished the game@3pm, and until 7pm I had several beers and this smirnoff-). after that we went to our clubrestaurant. After some moments my father(which is the president of the club) told me he has to bring my sister to the trainstation(she went to elba), so I decided to go with him to meet my sisters friends(one must say that I get very horny when Im loaded). so my father was driving when I suddenly realised that I will have to wait over an hour @ home before the time arrive for my sisters departement. so this completely freaked me out and I was telling my father to return, because i didnt want to wait such a long time. He just said no (cos he has saw that I was completely loaded and i would have been better for me to take a rest, it was like 8pm, so still very early) and I began to shake him while he was driving down the road! So he became angry and returned. I, the drunk I was, didnt recognised why my father is so angry and this turned in depression. After some talk with my other clubmembers(who didnt know what happened, I could have caused my and my fathers dead for heavens sake) I came to the conclusion that all this was my fathers fault and that he is the freak. So after the department of my sister he returned. Me and one of my friend wanted to go to a local village party, but we needed a driver so we talked to an older member(who was also drunken) till he said yes. My father and an other clubmember(around 20) heard that and they talked to my friend and our driver(I was @some girls that time). When I returned my fiend and the drivers suddenly have changed their opinion and wanted to rest here. I suddenly realised that my father and that 20years-guy have told them to rest here. So I began to get very angry about them and talked with them. My father was very shocked and didnt say a word just stared at me, the 20-man tried to convince me that I would better rest here as well. But I'm the completely drunken fool I was began to get paranoid and suddenly errupted. I told my father to go to hell, and that I hate him and that he is a ridicoulus president and that the club is completely and that I will leave this club at this moment.
The bad thing about this, that we were in restaurant and everybody heard that. And I love my club and I love my father, had never problems with him. I ve talked to my father but he is still believing that I hate him a bit, because he says that "in wine lies the truth", but in this case its not like that. Sorry to all of you, but I had to write this off my ass, Im very depressed now, and I hope the others could forgive me for this. They were all completely shocked, because normally Im not the guy who made such things.
Ive learnt something: alcohol is a hard drug as well!!! |

thats bad d00d. alcohol is i think, its ok to socialise, i.e. get you to a level whereby its easier to chat to people and have a good time, but i hate getting hammered, you do stupid things, end up upsetting other people and yourself, and an alcohol comedown (a hangover) is one of the worst kind of comedowns there are, way worse than e in my opinion

Yea man, I hate alcohol. I mean, I do have a drink here and there, but it's pathetic to go out and get trashed all the time, like many of my friends do. Even more pathetic is how some of them base their plans around how much alcohol is going to be at a certain party...so lame.
They always end up doing they would never do otherwise. I love how they use the excuse...because I was drunk. Yea...maybe one or two times, but whenever one of my friends does something they regret, they can always blame it on alcohol...and then for some reason everyone accepts that as ok.
It pisses me off more than anything that alcohol is legal, and weed is not! How many car accidents/deaths have you heard about stemming from weed?...hmmm....ZERO?! Maybe a death from lung cancer or something, but even then it would be hard to point to weed as the culprit. Stupid Government....making alcohol legal to make money...******s!
End of rant!

Normally Im just very happy when Im loaded and Ive never had a bad experience before, and then that .
alcohol is a part of our society for many years. Thats not the case with weed, just a minor group takes weed. alcohol was a part of society since more than 1000years, thats why its legal and weed not. And to say that car accidents coz of weed do not happen is just not right. As far as I know you cant control the abuse of weed like alcohol, you need to piss to control weed, and you cant force anyone to piss. And weed is also when driving, at least in my case weed makes my tired^, certainly not a good thing when driving. |

I have to disagree with you on that. I'm not saying that driving while baked is the best idea, but actual studies have been done on this. People actually drive good, if not better than they would sober, because they are very paranoid. They will not speed, roll threw stop signs or anything like that for fear of getting pulled over. I drive baked a lot...it doesn't impair my vision, or make me see double...if anything...it keeps me from speeding! Which is a good thing!! :)

What the hell are you talking about man? That is not the sole reason why alcohol is legal and weed is not. Alcohol is legal because the goverment makes a load of money off of it...just think about how many business make money because of alcohol...bars, clubs, sporting events...etc. The U.S. government likes to think they are all badass in the fight against weed, but it is a losing battle, one they will never win.
If they just legalize it....and then put a tax on it (like alcohol) they will be making money...rather then spending billions trying to keep it out of our society. And sorry to burst your bubble, but the maryjane has been around longer than beer.
You can't control the abuse of weeeeeeed?!!! PUUHHHLEASE?!!! Do you see Marijuana Anonymous Groups out there? Weed is mentally addictive if anything...not physically. I mean, some people may say they are addicted to weed, but there isn't any addictive components in it like cigerettes.
Alcohol is much worse for you when driving then weed.

| Hey, I speak for my land-CH. And here alcohol is much wider spread 1000years ago than weed. therefore alcohol is much more accepted in society(which build the gov. at least here) than weed. That was my point. driving: a police officer cant take you to prison(or whatever) when you are weedbaked, because he would have you to piss(there you could control thc or something like that dont know), its much easier for a police officer to control the alcohol in you than the weed. |

| Lol, my bad english scusi. When you make something stupid the police officer controls you if you have drunken too much right? You make an easy test Ive heard, blow in st. But to test you for weed you need urin, thats why its not easy to control you. hm perhaps we need some translators in here... |

| I drink a fair bit, and I've been raised that way cos my parents r Irish and in the bull tradition how a few of them are they love their drinks and to see a bar room brawls. Anyway a very interesting one this, there was a survey filled in by metropoliatian police force (Cops in London basicially) and it found in Greater London over 90% of violent crimes commited in Central London are, commited by people under the influence of alcohol, i think 5% were sober and the other included the mentally insane, and people on drugs, so alcohol is one ing dangerous drug, I also found at GCSS that the majority of people on beer were complete s, and the people who were on drugs, were the most friendlist and politest. And as I say I'd rather go into a club for of people on pills, then club full of people on beer and spirts. |

I think what you're getting at is that it's a lot easier for the police to test for & prove drunkedness than it is for them to prove you've been smoking pot. If they think you've been drinking they can breathalise you on the spot, make you walk in a line etc. But proving you've been smoking would involve taking you to the station, ordering you to take a leak and then holding you in a cell while they test. What if they're wrong? They can't just cart people away on a whim.
And yeah, Alcohol has been around in society for ages. We've lived around it for the last few hundred years. I'm sure if it was something new it would never have been legalised, just as I'm sure that if people had been smoking pot in public since the year 1800 it would be legal (and of course heavily taxed) :) |
