I was thinking of posting a similar thing for a friend.

She'll be down there on Saturday 5 June 2004 and returning on Monday morning 7 June 2004.

What can I recommend?

Is there anything on Friday night 4 June 2004?
I could tell her to change her flight if so.

Umm...we got a heapa good record stores, pretty spread out but your best bet is the Chapel St area (off Chapel you got Greville n Commercial Rd)

Record Stores:

DMC Records (Commercial Rd - not to far up from Chapel) Prog/Breaks/DNB.
Vinyl Rebel (Also Commercial Rd - Further along from DMC) House.
Rhythm & Soul (Greville St - Off Chapel, you'll find Greville south from Commercial Rd) House.
One Stop DJ (Is it near Chapel? I dunno, never been there so I can't tell ya much about this place)

In the City you got another Rhythm & Soul store off Little Collins St - if you turn down little collins off Swanston towards Elizabeth St, you'll find a lil alley with all these cafe's n down that is Rhythm&Soul
There's also Central Station records on Swanston street which stocks a heap of everything - techno, trance, dnb, house, prog etc. That's down these stairs off Swanston between Little Collins n Collins St.

Umm...You're a fair progger no? I'd say you'd be most happy with DMC Records on commercial rd. It's the prog hub in Melbourne - might even see some Melbourne prog DJs there if ya lucky too :p

Ciao
