You obviously don't know what you're talking about (NOTE: You might be an anime "freak" but there are quite a few people out there that have seen lots of anime and still don't consider themselves anime freaks... like me :)). Go back and watch the entire anime before you type something as wrong as that. The character development in One Piece is probably the most intensive of all anime... |

I didnt really ever get into neon genesis. Just wasnt very good. Nothign ever really happened, the characters didnt really evolve, just new ones got introduced then they went static as well. The whole time youre just sitting waiting for the next angel, and the inevitable almost-lose-but-win-in-the-end thing.
Rah Xephon at least had him gain new abilities and sometimes just walk out and destroy stuff without even thinking. Plus the relationships are much more complex and touching (asahina) even though some didnt get fully realized (or maybe they did?) ;)
just a much deeper anime with much more thought put into it. |

| For fans of Naruto, I recommend you watch a series call Hunter x Hunter. THis series is soooooo much better than Naruto and it doesn't drag. Great plotline!!! Its prolly one of the best animes i've seen to date. |

Anything by the creator of Yuu Yuu Hakusho (Yoshihiro Togashi) is an amazing piece of art. |

har har. don't be such a homer. hehe sorry i beg to differ. ONe pIece develops core characters. I've watched almost all the episodes. I was dying at 90+ because I was tired of seeing the same characters and least expansive devices used: devil's fruit. it seems everybody's got one.
I did say mulit-character. it delves into the chakra system, magick, and specials for each particular character plus each personality and personal issues. thats depth one piece doesn't include. Naruto includes also parallel devices such as the zodiac and elemental system to show some realistic *applied* concepts already present in Asian culture,specifically Japan. , it even has the birthdate for each character which is a favourite subject of mine: Numerology, the study of personality, traits, and destiny. |

first of all raxhephon is a terrible rip-off of NGE. Actually raxhephon is like a "softer" version of NGE, not complicated characters, not drama but happy atmosphere, not complicated scenario.
I though that naruto was for kiddies?:conf: I mean, something that is in the similar vein with dragon ball MUST be for kiddies. Any anime that is more than 30 episodes must be for children(meaning that is a succesfull series for the masses of the younger age)
OH, mind you, NGE is the BEST anime/manga ever written. The scenario is fantastically deep and complicated. Havn't seen any other manga involving such deep themes as adolescent psychology, existential phylosophy and mysticism/theology in such manner. |

hah! there is really no Best anime ever. each is the best in its own right unless you have two, very similar, that can be compared, equitably - themes, plots, characters, etc.. which is unlikely. even my comparison isn't apples-to--apples with naruto and one piece. |

here is why what you said is pretty stupid Petran. Animes are based of Mangas. Akira, while only 1 episode long, is based of the HUUUUUUUUGE Akira manga, which I have. It didnt go nearly in depth enough on the characters to get any kind of feel for it. You just cant do justice to a multi-hundred book manga in a few episodes. and NGE OBVIOUSLY ran out money at the end. Holy . gayest end ever.
You think NGE is tragic and sad and RahXephon happy? wtf. there is a penguin staring at the kids boner in NGE as girls nakedly play with one another...anyways.
Anime, like electronica, is a total mood thing. and to say one anime suits people better is crazy. I try to stay away from that. I brought up a few points on NGE vs Rah to reinforce that perspective.
anyway. Im getting One Piece right now, should be interesting. Also battling through King of Bandits. and just 2 more episodes of Last Exile.
also watching Hunter X Hunter and Flame of Recca hehe.
Gotta love all of it. |
