Maybe you should re-read my post...the only one that's contradicting anything is you, bcuz i certainly haven't contradicted myself at all.
Since your such a noob to the music industry, let me elaborate this for you in layman terms....If you knew your music history, then you would know that Madonna was a dancer before becoming a well known singer. imo Madonna did fantastic work before her "like a Virgin" lp. After that lp she became mainstream music trendsetter. She was the first female artist smart enough to setup her own corporation to promote her own style and music. In the process she also helped and took advantage of other artists (example Alanis Morissette who sued to disolve her contract with Madonna's corp). FYI, the topic of discussion was not about Madonna, it was about BS being talentless. But to be crude, Madonna had "balls" like a man, was a gold digger (slept with who she had to-->to get ahead-->but kept her lips sealed and sued ppl that brought those facts out) and knew the only way to get there was to feed the media hype and make her corp'n grew. She was shrewd and astute and I (plus my friends) respect her for being a truely ambitious business person with no holds barred. Regardless of that, she is still a putana that was shunned from the movie industry for having no acting talent and no scrupples when it came to bedding her way up. She will never be an Oscar nominated actress bcuz of this and that is a FACT!...and Madonna doesn't do anything with another artist unless it is of more benefit to her. So if you think otherwise, then you are naive.
FYI, BS is talentless and needs a choreographer to help her bcuz without one, she can't make it. Janet, Beyonce’ and Usher actually do have dancing and singing talent (though not a fav to me or my friends) they use choreographers to enhance their videos. BS has no talent and can only rely on her looks and sex to sell her music and her hype. SHE WILL NEVER BE WHAT MADONNA IS. SHE DOESN'T HAVE IT.
So this is your music lesson for today. Look it's ok that you like her, but open your eyes to the raw facts. |

Actually, i am a blonde, and if you for one second think that hair color and intelligence have ANY correlation, then you are even more ignorant than i thought.
and if all 5 of you are sitting around talking on britney spears, then i just feel sorry for you. if she's such "mainstream trash", then why get so ralled up about her? sad, yet funny...
i hardly doubt britney spears is TALENTLESS because i can guarantee that girl will have a LOT more money than you, a LOT more success than you, and even a LOT more class than you. ouch...that must have hurt considering she's such a whore, eh?

So you are saying Madonna was born dancing, she didnt take any classes she just had what it takes from the start? She never used sex to sell her music? What was rolling across the stage simulating having sex in the MTV Music Awards about? You said it yourself, she screwed everything in sight to get to were she is, thats the same as using sex to sell music. Britney has no talent? obviously she does if people are paying 400 bucks to see her in concert, she has made millions, and even your darling "talented" Madonna is supporting her. Wasnt britney singing and dancing since she was a small girl? so she has a background, she won talent shows. You sure talk like you know what you are saying but its clear that you and your friends dont have a ing clue. And i suggest you start fiving you own opinion instead of gathering a group of kids to bring out an idea. I am thankful his criticism served its purpose -- that is, to emphasize BT's good vibes and increase his profile (free publicity!). I sometimes wonder if the likes of BT and Moby make themselves look like easy targets because they know they can work it around to their advantage.
To Cusick's credit, at least he is honest. I applaud him for that:
So. I have received quite a bit of hate mail from my last column ("Let There BT"). I expected this, sort of. BT's music and persona act as a drug on me, a very bad one. They obliterate my ability to make distinctions. I guess there are a few things I still want to make clear to my legion of hatefully devoted fans though. The first is that criticism is a genre of literature, an art form in itself, a record of one's own soul. Feel free to criticize my writing but understand that I am also involved in the process of creation, it just so happened that I was in a bad spiritual mood at the time. Secondly, it is very likely that there is nobody close to BT reminding him that he actually does have some talent and it's a shame to misuse it. Thirdly, I am jealous of BT. Not of his success, fame or his money but of his talent. I would love to have similar talents. I was not born with those gifts though nor did I spend the necessary time to develop them, regretfully. Almost every piece of music I've ever made or been a part of that has held any value for me has been a bit of a struggle. I would love to have all sorts of musical and technical abilities just oozing from my fingertips. Again, it is conviction that BT lacks, not talent. I do not begrudge BT's success in any way nor am I jealous of it. My vision of "success" varies greatly from what he has achieved. I am happy for anybody that can make a living doing something harmless that they enjoy. I was only joking about taxing him into starvation. Really. I do not, however, believe he is expressing anything about himself artistically. Or at least not anything worth knowing. As an artist he fails miserably. I do not hate him, I am actually trying to help him.

What an embarrassment to women. You must have real low self-esteem to defend and hold someone like her as your ideal role model. I guess women like you think the only thing you can do to get ahead is to sell your body and give head in order to have money. Mozart was a naturally talented, born prodigy. Even so, his father guided him and mentored him. He wouldnt been composing at 5 years old and doing a symphony at six by himself without being tutored.
However you are stating that Madonna dosent need choreographers and she is extremely talent from birth. She never used choreographers or vocal professors? bull Top A student? what in the devil do grades have to do when it comes to making music?

I doubt they are focusing on how well a girl looks at the age of 7. Everyone gets support, from somewhere. If not from your parents then from a producer, a friend, etc. NO ONE DOES IT ALONE IN THE MUSIC BUSINESS. Its all about connections, and building connections. And how in the hell is a 7 year old girl supposed to make it on her own without a adult helping her? Stevie wonder did get support from his parents, get your facts sorted out. FYI, my sole purpose (including the purpose of my friends)for posting here is to open peoples eyes so that they are aware that the music industry is run by profiteering gluttons. Like parasites, they leach off the innocent minds. The sad part is that those innocent minds defend such a poor role model. It's a damn shame that they resort first to name calling, rather than using facts and debating logically.
As for my sig...i'm surprised that you wouldn't recognize the EDM manifesto.
Hyped leaches like BS go against everything that EDM stands for and only serve to confuse and lower the standards of professional artists. It's time that we have some self respect and say something. We needs to unite here and save our self-respect bcuz without that there will never be peace, love or having fun--especially not when your being brainwashed and duped. It was bad enuf that Madonna got away with it. It shouldn't be repeated again. |
