ok - i listen to trance at least 3 hours a day (and love it!!!).
i use "sony dynamic stereo headphones" (saved lots of money to buy those :)) and i dont know if im the only one but i always have to turn up the volume when listen to my favorite tunes...
the same in my car - i cant hear the tracks i love in low volume...

recently i thought about my ears - this could be very dangerous to them - am i right?
i think im already half-deaf :(
somebody feel the same? solutions maybe?
Dj Lex
maybe the stuff for the ears, don't know how you call those.
And the cover form Tiesto cd. Where do you have it from?

Yep we had a big thread about this a while ago.......lately i have been noticing pain in my ear....Ive then tryed to lower the volume and the pain stopped....its all about getting used to a volume....if you turn your freestyle up just a bit when the favouritpart of your track comes.....and then you forget to lower the vol again....your easr will get used to the loud volume....next time.....you raise the volume even more.....etc etc....finally you reach the limit......and your ears wont feel fine......then try to start all over like i did....let the volume stay low.....5 minutes later you wont think about the volume cause your ears will get used to it......An example...
I sit in front of the TV late saturday night.....watching some late action movie or something..... My parents are in bed so i have to have a low volume.....i get used to the low volume so i put it down even more to not wake them up........then i get used again ect.....the next morning i turn on the TV and i cant even hear what they say when im really close to the TV....all cause my ears got used to the volume last night....

Best way for pleasing you ears:

Always keep the volume at a pleasant volume that doesnt feel hard for your ears at all.....I should be as high so that you can feel the track, yet comfortable......Once you found that exact point where those 2 meet........you dont have anything to worry about:)

Hope i made sense....my english is not the best :p

well maybe u should consider not cranking up the sound too much. If you start hearing a ringing tone when its all silent then you know youve been damaged for life *ahem* almost anyway *ahem*...

that is true, I notice the same thing, i have to keep it somewhat down when my parents are around, when they are not, i crank my stereo up just because i dont get to do it so often, but about the ears getting used to high and low volumes....thats the best way, u wont notice its low after a while, it'll be a comfortable level

Yeah....then you turn it up.....your ears can handle that....Just turn it down again later....dont let them get used with high-volume cause then when ppl try to speak to U with normal voices you wont hear them...

And: No problem :) Love to help :)
InsomnEac
i have the same prob, i can never get the volume loud enuf...there is no solution...you will be deaf in 10 years...prepare yourself:p

no seriously, if your ears are ringin, turn it down dood...especially if your using earphones cos they are worse for your ears than an equivalently loud stereo cos of the proximity to your ears. its hard, but you'll have to appreciate your tunes without max volume:sadgreen:

Ive learned to apreciate my trax and still keep the volume down...its really nice...cause now i dont get that pain when the treble goes really high in som trax.....i just hate that.....or when some vocals goes to high...and you have turned the vol up.....UAGH!......
Lot easier to jsut keep it down :)

i always listen to music at the same volume level in my car.. its so dawm loud... but lately i have noticed how i 'be raising the volume a little bit...then alittle bit more.. i feel like im my hearing is just used to the sae volume and i want it more or something.!!
it is scary but i know this old guy he is in his 50s already and he used to Dj in the 70s and now he lost some of his hearing. he uses a hearing aid on his left ear..it is sad. i hope i dont end up like that.
