recently had the opportunity to see this flick.
if i understood the language a bit better i would have probably enjoyed it a bit more. but all i got to say is :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop:

OMG!!!!!!!!That looks absolutely SICK! How do I get the movie? I gotta see this. I'm half Japanese so I'll be able to understand some of it too so that's a good thing, I guess. I just want to see it for the visuals, let alone being able to understand the story.
It looks like Anime done with live action....how can you beat the possibilities with something like that? |

well,
i ran across the trailer about a month ago and was like :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: . feck me that looks clean, i searched for it for a while in your regular areas IRC, BitTorrent sites and nothing. still won't find it there by the way. just came out in april. i sent a link to a friend and he loved it. god knows how he found it but he did. so i went over to his house and saw the whole thing on a 20" tv. :rolleyes:
will try to get a copy this weekend and i will share

In fact this movie is an adaptation of an old manga, that's why it may look like if it was a live anime.
I haven't seen it yet, but the main reason why I'm interested in this movie is that it's the first movie directed by Kiriya Kazuaki, which is the husband of Hikaru Utada, one of the most popular and talentuous singer in Japan that I really like a lot. He's been the director of most of her last promotion videos, and as a gift she agreed to sing the main theme song of Casshern. It's a beautiful ballad song which is her first one since january 2003: she's currently preparing for her official debut in US with a new album in English (she's born in NY and speaks english fluently). Island DefJam, which is her label, has put a lot of money to promote her, that will be the biggest promotional operation ever done for a singer on this label since Mariah Carey's debut! |

this movie was ing crazy. Visuals in the fighting scenes are awesome. :crazy: :eyespop: Straight up anime fighting scenes.
Hoping someone makes a subtitle version cause I didn't get any of the dialogue. :stongue: |

| yeah, the raw was released a few days ago.. though i think its a hand cam version. you could easily find out when it's released by checking baka-updates or suki (if it isn't licensed yet), or if you still browse my forum i'm sure it'll get announced there quickly. ;) ... i forget to come back and post here a lot so i can't make many promises :D |
