With Sasha's new remix album "Involver" set to be released soon; who is going? What do you expect of Sasha? And what do you think about his comment on electronic music becoming "too commercial" and "[Sasha] will only release his new singles for his "members only" on his website"...Let's talk all things Sasha, shall we?

i'll be flying to NY that day, so i'm gonna miss him in Chicago. he's @ Crobar the very next day in NY, so i might try to see him out there... not totally sure yet.

after the fiasco i had with trying to see him @ Vision back in march, i'm just not sure about it. heh. :thepirate

but yeah, definitely looking forward to Involver. i listened to a 20-min promo, and it sounds pretty sweet.

How did you get a hold of a 20 minute promo?

I'll be there for this event. It's not Vision, but I've heard positive feedback about SoundBar.

ive only been there once (for Sander) and it was pretty good. they have a lot of cool stuff there like the visual displays on the walls. but does it really matter where sasha plays...c'mon its sasha, he can rock anywhere.

Sasha is a legend. I would see him in a barn. I could care less if he releases his singles to 'members only' because if you actually bought ADD you have access to it anyways. Dance music is too commercial nowdays (IMO) but it's helping the scene get exposure and the recognized artists (not just the DJs) make enough of a living from production to be able to focus on it 100% and not take on other jobs.

It's just a damn shame he can't throw his decks in a pool @ soundbar.

maybe we should all wear protective headgear in case he starts chucking CDs into the crowd. :toothless

Very nice reference :) now do you remember what kind of turntables he has in the pool @ his place?

I think I do....

I'll be sure to bring my helmet. Do you think it would be better to get presale tickets or just sign up on their email guest list? I don't know if it's going to be crowded or not. The word on the street about Sasha isn't as popular as Armin Van Buuren.

I went and saw Misstress Barbara last night. First time at SoundBar and first time hearing Misstress Barbara. Kick ass! It was awesome, but SoundBar wasn't as large as I thought it would be. And, damn, people get pushy and shovy there.
