One of the finest in prog house is doing his Aus tour, so whos going to see him? Or has seen him? :P
Adelaide has him this thursday, June 3rd @ Fabric - Garage.
I know me and DeeCee are all pumped for it :)
Its going to be one awesome night, so any of you adelaide TAs gonna make an effort to support some real quality in Adelaide?
Or wont there be enough breakdowns for you? :(
Anyway, wherever he is, everyone should go see some quality for once :) |

Yeah he played in Sydney on Friday night, I know a few people went to see him so maybe they can enlighten you.

This should be a night of excellent prog tunes!
I know its on a school night but it would be good to see a few TA's get along and support a world class act in Adelaide.

Didn't get the chance to see him last night (there's just too much good stuff on this weekend and I wasn't game to back up twice) but I recommend you see him if you get the chance. He played after Satoshi here at GK a couple of years back and - imho - blew him away. He is also responsible for one of the greatest prog mix cds of all time, namely his Bedrock 3 compilation.
Based on what I've heard from some of his more recent livesets he seems to be playing with a more tribally, techy edge these days, but however you look at it, you should be in for some dancefloor friendly prog. Shame I couldn't see him. :( |

Hey, will post more when I get back....going out.
Saw him @ Sweetchilli on Friday for his 3 hour set. He didn't play many of his productions (whateveritis is all I picked). His set was generally really thumping, bordering on techno for a good hour, then hitting techno. He played a bit of breaks which I thought is when he'd take it melodic, instead he went back to the relentless hard tribally beats....His encore was quite melodic and the only bit I liked.
Quiet a few times I thought about going home; was just too hard for my enjoyment. It suited the SC crowd down to a T tho.
I was expecting a bit of thumping stuff, but not 3 hours.
Other annoyance was his encore was part of his set...instead of playing over time, he finished 20 mins early and played that as his encore.
Oh don't expect him to smile either, he's taking notes from Chable :p
