I'm not totally sure, but I do not think that each of the socialist parties carry the same weight as the right wing/liberal parties do, in terms of seats. That may be a vain hope on my part, though.

really interesting and good job u made erik congrats = )
i think ur idead of voting for the ones u said is good but as i told u yeah i think the EPP got some interesting ideas ....but yeah we need to reform a lot of things in UE

mmh about france we got 41 parties so yeah don't expect i do like erik ....it would take too much time and btw here even the parties don't really care about being european deputy ...it's just one more function and not a function itself ...lack of motivation and lack of informations for the citizens ....i guess an another reason why almost no one cares here about these elections ...

I must admit that I also like the EPP program, but I wouldn't vote for them because of the christian attribute they always point out and because they insist on having christianity be put into the constitution.

What do you mean?

We stopped exporting to Europe after 2000 (this might explain why Europeans have become even more bitter).

America is our market, they get it:)

It looks like the 3 candidates who will win the 3 European seats for Northern Ireland will be Euro sceptics so does that mean this country should withdraw from the EU!? I hope so.....

Well they could be described as 'Euro-sceptic' I suppose, but I don't think any of the three main 'Euro-sceptic' parties are actually advocating pulling out of the EU, for example, with PSF, who are traditionally seen as against Europe really aren't. They're critical of many aspects of EU and directions it has taken over recent years (and rightly so are critical). They're anti centralisation of power, and militarisation of the Union. DUP are arguing for the pound to be kept, etc. as it infringes on sovereignty.

Maybe some of the other less known candidates in the occupied counties are advocating pulling out of the EU, but they'll make no impact. My guess is simliar to yours I think, with the three big parties taking seats in the 6 counties at the expense of SDLP. And PSF may take as many as three seats (six counties, Dublin, North-west) or possibly none :)

Meh, since there's no commie party, I'm totally stranded. On one hand there are the damn hippie tree huggers who don't like nuclear power and science, on the other there are christian conservatives who don't like atheism and socialism, and the socialists are nowhere near to what they used to be. No revolutionary ideas, no urban guerilla, no cold war threats, no stuck up uniforms with nice red stars....meh...I'll form my own party once I get the chance to.
