live 3 was great and i didnt think they had alot of room for improvement, but looks like the folks at ableton have really outdone themselves!!

new features to live4:
midi sequencing (this feature is huge for those who have used live before and know that the previous releases work strictly with audio!)

full audio unit and vsti support! (bout time ableton! no more having to load bidule to play with vsti in live! weeee)

a pattern mode- turn ur laptop into a groove box!
this is so cool

check it out for urself @ www.ableton.com

no, i do not work for ableton haha! just reallllly excited for this release! :D

Imo Live is the ultimate DJ'ing Tool....Imagine what you could do if u had samples of all favourite tracks you would usually spin as vinyl/cdr...You could make your "Involver" Compilation in real time. Unfortunately we don't have all these samples but at least you can use it for your own productions
Light The Fuse
Bought the Mac and Ableton today :D :D :D

I got Live 4 and its not bad. still learning it though. didnt use previous versions because of the limited functions compared to other software but it looks pretty good now. Didnt think you needed a Mac though :conf: :D

Fair enough;)
Vizay
live 4 is great, really great when it comes to djing.
the only downside is that it doesn't support mp3 so ripping in your vinyls to your computer is a serious nono unless you have like 2 or more 200gb drives :p
