Harper unrolled his platform today. 2 things that will benefit me right away. 1) tax cuts. I figure they will more than make up for the damage mcguinty did to my paycheque. And i dont feel bad about it either considering Mcguinty is raping my salary in the name of health care so im already doing my part ;) 2) increasing the personal income exemption limit which means we all will not be paying income tax at all on a larger portion of our salary.
I also like his idea of simplifying the process of recognizing immigrant degrees. This if anything is a great way to help solve health care problem as we have thousands of qualified doctors and nurses right under our noses.
What i dont like about the Lie-berals (other than the lies and corruption that is)
1) national social day care. First they promised this in 1993 and still havnt delivered on it. (they must think we are ALL stupid). Second, everyone is crying poor and saying we need to increase taxes for health care blah blah blah yet we have money to do this? Either this means that taxes will go up for this as well or someone is lying about our state of affairs.
2) The fact that they are pretending to be the saviours of health care yet they are the party that cut health care funding to the provinces by over 80%. Again, do you really think we are that stupid Mr Martin? |

Notice how the Liberal logo is really small on those signs yet TEAM MARTIN is huge and in the place where traditionally the huge Liberal logo is supposed to go? I guess this shows that even the Liberals know that their own name and reputation is tarnished.

Well the conservatives seem to also stand firmly against gay marriaga and abortion...sure we all want tax cuts and healthcare -- but they are ALL promising that...i look at it from a much broader view -- seems like a lot of the issues aren't even mentioned. It seems like they all say what the public wants to hear.
I'd agree with Richard...as of right now Layton and the NDP appeal to me the most.
Like i said in some other post so far the conservatives are banking on the fact that the liberals have all this corruption but in reality haven't introduced anything new really...I say they all crap still :thepirate |

well, it's to early to say. I think that the Liberals will gain some momentum in the next few weeks, and it will be a Liberal minority government - and that would give the NDP some hefty power in the House. |

| right now its anybody's race. Harper's platform which he revealed on Friday looks pretty good to me. I think it will get him even more votes. And for the record Harper ois not against gay marriage. He's against calling it marriage. He would grant them the same exact rights as married people except it would be called a civil union. Id say thats a fair comprimise. |

I think the NDP have totally lost it. They could have had 60 seats, but then they did the following:
1) Proposed a 50% inheritence tax on estates more than $1,000,000. That hits middle-class Canadians the hardest.
2) 100% tax on capital.
3) And now this...
