Hi everybody,

i don't know if there was such kind of thread before but i would find funny to know which clichés exist out there in the world about people who hear mainly trance music. Just write them all down im sure there are quiete many!

Mine are that all genres of EDM are summarized to one and it's then called "techno"

Yeah second all trancers hear "cheese" tracks; everybody identifies with you the new "jan wayne" track wich where played on tv.

Thirdly u are simply borring because u don't hear other genres although EDM is very various

simply carry on

i hate when people comment on trance by saying:

"anybody could make tracks like that"

i always say, "then why dont you?" wouldnt you like to be signed, release music in your name and maybe make some money?

if they think the music is bad or unsophisticated or too simple or monotonous or anything, then they can say that, i dont care, they dont have to like it. saying that they could do it is just so retarded.

and here is a bad joke

A Pirate walks into a bar with a ship's wheel attached to his d1ck.
The bartender says, "What the hell is that?!"

The Pirate says, "Arrrrr. It's a ship's wheel, and it's driving me nuts!"

In Austria most ppl think trance is Gabry Ponte, Jan Wayne and this , so it has a bad name here in Austria.. thats what pisses me off if ppl talk about trance and never heard REAL trance

By clichés I can only assume you mean stereotypes, there have been numerous threads created about this, with the primary stereotype being anti-social, horny elitists who think they are superior to every other form of life due to their vast knowledge of the "underground." Note that this does not apply to the majority of European TAs since trance is mainstream there, except for the UKTAs, who are just wankers in general because everyone in the UK is.

Trance is everything BUT mainstream in Belgium :/

And songd from Milk Inc, Lasgo and those other e commercial groups give Trance a bad name cause most of those tards call it trance.

Oh and if someone says trance, the only thing tey say is "YES I LOVE TIESTO" ...

I've heard a lot of people say that Trance is "Gay Music". I do not agree, but I see their point, since in every single EDM festival videos (specially the love parade), there are a lot of Gay people dancing around and showing their stuff, which has generated this popular idea...

...which I hate. :whip:
