Go to http://www.inthemix.com.au/whatson/?city=1 and check out all the upcoming events.

Its an Australian clubbing site that covers all genres of dance music, so you can get info on everything, not just trance.

Hi,

A Night Of Trance Sydney's biggest uplifting trance night is on July 2nd. It's definately worth checking out:

Before every1 swams you with ideas, what style of music do you like (list DJ's perhaps)?

Well take it from there ;)

yea well i like the prodigy, sasha, TCM, zabilia. you know; good music. that one site was nice because i dont know if my sister wants to go to trance shows all week. what's sublime any of the reset of u like it? Is Technics inthemix50 DJ Poll National Tour going to be any good? i might want to hit that up

Sublime may not be your thing, the main floor is hard trance, though the other rooms upstairs have house and breaks.

You're a week late for prog though, this weekend is Renaissance Winter Ball with Infusion & James Zabiela :p

If you are into good german Um Pah Pah band music, there is the Löwenbrau Bier Hall in the Rocks.

:D

Ok...I just had to mention the um pah band as a musical segue...I loved that place soooooo much and I have recommended it to everyone I have spoken to in the last 2 weeks since I got back home.

You should just wander around and have a good time doing whatever.

Oh ya.....Don't forget a jacket! It is pretty chilly in the mornings down there, especially if you are riding a ferry. I forgot to pack my fleece jacket and ended up having to buy one while I was down there for my morning wanderings before it warmed up.

Löwenbrau; Gotta love that place...just don't have 5 stiens and try take some home with you when you can't walk..... :nervous:

Anyhow :)

reLLik: Webmister is right, you're going to be a week late for the progressive stuff/s. James Zabiela is playing this weekend (with Infusion live :p) July 17 is the next announced major progressive night.

Looking in the what's on Guide....For a QUALITY night of progressive on the 26th I'd suggest heading to Night Works. 1 of the acts there (2 guys), play on 2 mixers, 6 dex, 2 effects units, like a 4 handed version of Zabiela.

The ITM top 50 poll is going to be a house/breaks/tad of prog night, not something I really want to go to....going to be packed playing e music (if u like prog and/or trance).

The weekend you arrive, nothing's really on; I assume every1 will be recoving from the long weekend. Would be a good weekend to see some of Sydney, and a few beer cafes....The rocks (where the Löwenbrau is) is a nice place and has A LOT of Australia's heritige/sites (ask Mr S).

LMK if you want more help.

Heh...the only "heritage site" I really went into on the Rocks was the Orient Hotel :toothless

Me and the bartenders there became good pals (because I left a good tip with each drink out of habit).

Had I found the brau first it would have been a totally differnet story though......i looooove german beer and german lasses in those little outfits are extra bonus lol.

Oh ya...one last Lowenbrau thing...get ze Pretzel. One of my best memories of Sydney was when I went to the brau pretty sloshed already from the Orient (I was hungry and their kitchen had closed) and the serving girl came up to me and said "How vas ze pretzel? Vas goot, ya?"

All kinds of things started running through my head at that point

/me needs to get back down there.....need to go to visit my dad in D.C. soon so I can go fill out the migration application at the Australian embassy :toothless

Mr S; If you only liked the German beer, you could go to Germany :p
