Why Minorities and Immigrants should vote for the Conservatives

I think this is a great idea. I have friends who have immigrated here with degrees who cant use them here. Their educated equally or even better than our own professionals yet the system is set up with major roadblocks.

Imagine what they could have done had they applied the same time, energy and resources to helping new Canadians.”
The Conservative plan includes establishing an end-of-summer deadline for the establishment of a federal-provincial roadmap on foreign credentials recognition. It also includes working with the provinces to assess the viability of establishing a central coordinating body to help regularly assess and approve credentials recognition.
As Ontario’s Minister of Health and Long Term Care, Clement unveiled a comprehensive 8-point plan to expedite the certification of foreign-trained doctors.
“This issue boils down to priorities,” said Harper. “The Liberals have their priorities and we have ours. Achieving the speedier recognition of foreign credentials while ensuring that effective regulation remains in place will be a priority for a new Conservative government.

It's more that you simply cut and paste every article you read onto TA with sometimes little if any input other othen the article itself. This happening once in a while, nobody cares, you posting 10+ news articles a week, can be annoying. |

Is this a joke?? First of all they are conservatives no more, they are Alliance only, the same guys that want to tamper hate crime laws, specially none FAVOURING minorities |

this "program" would help people who wish to immigrate to Canada soon. However, For those living in Canada already (and are able to vote... cuz afterall, someone planning on immigrating to Canada soon will not be able to vote) this kind of thing probably won't be a deciding factor in who they vote for.
My bets are that they wouldn't be able to do this even if they were to get into office.
i wonder if Jayx1 actually cares about people's responses to his threads or if he's just seeking attention |

First i enjoy the debate so i care about other's opinions
Second i have a couple of friends who have just gone through the immigration process and i see how difficult it is. We demand such high skills to even be considered to enter Canada but once they get here we tell them that the skills we demanded are in fact not valid here.
I was told "if they told me i would be cleaning dishes in Canada instead of being an archetect like i was back home i would never have left home" |
