Quite upset with last thread being closed down due to some adolescent bitching and hormal dysfunctions.

If we could continue this again with respect for and rememberance of President Reagan, let's continue so decent folks have a chance to post. He was a great American statesman and National Hero.

sorry I closed it, but you see what it turned into.

I have much respect for him, but actually I have even more respect for his wife. She spearheaded several amazing charitable and socially responsible projects including the just say no campaign. She helped him through his illness and was by his side till the end. Anyone that wants to disrespect Reagan based on the choices made by Pres. Bush now either has no clue or is just angry and needs an outlet for it. Bushes mistakes of today have nothing to do with Reagan's choices of yesteryear

this has nothing to do with his political views, it has to do with paying respects to him. You may not have liked him (which is pointless because you probably weren't old enough to know) but if you have negative views don't post in here.

Someone wrote to the news station that they were glad that the "Anti-Christ" Reagan was dead.

I agree with Redeye (even though he hates me right now :D ) that Ms. Reagan has been truly amazing, and that people should show a little respect for HER during this time as well.

And methinks we should ask you to STFU if you have nothing postive to say as well.

i just purchased a compilation book of a bunch of letters that regan had written.

he had a true gift for letter writing

"I'm in the sunset of my life"
from his address to the nation after being diagnosed with alsheimers

God Bless

may his sole rest in peace

horribal way to pass . .

alsheimers is horriable

my grandfather has it

for the past 5 years

i've gone to his house every day to help him
we paint gourds, he loves to do that. but it just kills me to see how much he is degrading every day . . .

no one deserves to die like that . .

i am peronsally not bashing him...let him R.I.P...but i'm trying to point out that there are lots of people here, evident from all 100 other reagan threads, who, regardless of knowing that he's dead, hate him for whatever he did, and those people are going to continue to let their thoughts be heard, bashing reagan or not.

Nothing but respect for former President Reagan and his family. He was a good man.

Sorry, smokeape, for the last thread. ;)

True. Although I am not a republican, I believe that Ronald Reagan deserves the utmost respect simply for the fact that he was president and did many great things for the country I call home. As for the less admirable acts he committed as president, I believe that the dignity he exhibited takes precedence. R.I.P. Reagan.
