hrm... track selection was pretty decent, but honestly, his mixing was such crap. last night convinced me that I myself am a more seamless mixer than Tiesto is. so many crossfader slams, and almost everytime he attempted to mix it, the tracks were clearly offbeat. no excuses for him because the opening and closing dj, Eddie Lee, was doing an awesome job. i really wish i had been inside when he played nickelson - yin (solid globe remix). that would've made my night. in conclusion, i don't think i will be attending anymore tiesto concerts, unless if its like, 25 bucks.
AY STAR
i got the the club at 11:30 and the line was down the block then wraped around onto 5th ave i was like holy
i saw some kids a knew so i skipped it
got in there and eddie lee was ripping it apart really good set
tiesto came on and a big rooooar from the crowd came on like he was at bat in the world seris and the crowd wanted him to hit a hommer
tiesto started off very progressive for the first half hour then he put on white room it was great
and if anyone knows the name of the song that came on after white room please id it thanks
tiestos trainwrecked a few times i dunno maybe he was too drunk ha ha
his set was great he built it up from progressive to some melodic stuff like dream machine and nyana plus more
then he hit us with some techy stuff traffic, are you a freak and alot others even some techno tracks
then he pulled out adigo for strings wow that track made my night after that it was all uplifting stuff
the new cosmic gate,atn-miss a day, forever today, saltwater- the legacy and more
i also need an id on the last track tiesto played it was great very uplifting
i dont remember hearing push- eletric eclipse(tranqua mix) or nickelson- yin
and for the hip hop room i passed in for a min and they were playing tiestos music not hip hop very smart move by avalon
the club itself was overbooked iam sorry they knew wat they did was wrong it was really hot you would wipe your head from the sweat and litlerly 10 sec later you would have more and just rubbing up against everyone like that is nasty
i dident like how tiesto played only like 3 and a half hours and he just left the crowd was chanting his name and he just left dident come to wave or an encore i dunno maybe he dont like nyc
the syestem was better then the last few times but the lights sucked i think the light man was off last night or somethin they kept the lights all the way up and dident bring them down and to think for a big event like tiesto they would rent a few lasers but they dident
over all tiestos set= better then his last set at roxy in may but not better then his one in oct 2002
the club was just nasty
to be honest i would rather not see tiesto back at avalon or any other club within the year, but next summer him do a six hour set in central park

Yeah the mixing was not very good, and at some points it was just absolutely awful. I also did not like how he just left at the end, didn't do anything, barely even waved to the crowd. Track selection was great, but with the mixing and awful crowd I was a little dissapointed

Remember the music stopping during his third track?

I bet that was him not being able to mix out of his current track >.<

sad to say it was the worst set by tiesto i have ever heard. Despite the good track selection, it was poorly arranged. There was no progression in his set at all, and 3 huge trainwrecks on top of when he stopped the record to take it off cause it was skipping. Terrible. Vibe was in there I will agree. Since it was a ticketed event, I think the tiesto fans went out and bought theirs and not a majority of rookies. he did not play senorita because it was one of 2 songs I wanted to hear and didn't. The other was his new remix of Lethal industry. Can't believe he didn't play that. Highlight for me was the entire crowd singing Love Comes Again. It definitely showed how everyone was having a good time despite the crowd and temperatures, which I can't even complain about since I expected it. All in all I am very dissapointed in last nights performance. Worst tiesto set I've ever heard.

I was up on the rafters and I saw everything perfectly... the 2nd turntable was not balanced and the record kept skipping. He got so pissed off he just immediately switched over to a CD and turned off the TT, unscrewed the cartridge, and threw his record on the floor. He had problems with that TT throughout the night, and then a technician came over and balanced the arm, but Tiesto never looked convinced of trusting that TT the rest of the night. He kept cleaning the needle as well... all the "mess-ups" were off of that turntable.
