my first time at avalon and first time seeing tiesto. like many, i was thrown off by the abrupt break-ups in his set. but whatever. shiznit happens. great tracks overall! unfortunately, the venue completely detracted from the experience. too crowded, too hot, not enough places to sit down, etc. i didn't think this would be such a factor since i'm a big tiesto fan, but ultimately it was. i guess it's difficult to enjoy the music you love when your feet hurt and you can't move. i'll just have to put on Just Be in my car and get my groove on during rush hour...

wow, just got back to FL, another freaking crazy wknd in the books....Who needs to do cardio, when you can just sweat off 10 lbs at Avalon. it was my first time at Avalon, i really like the setup of the club but way too many people, are their Fire Marshalls in NYC? ..with that many people in there they could probably afford to install some Kyro guns to cool us off

besides that the music was solid. Eddie Lee threw down a sick opening set, i was very impressed, is he the resident there? the tiesto chant was out of control...of the ten or so times ive seen him, it was the longest chant. i enjoyed the set, noone gets me going like tiesto but i usually never leave the dance floor, but with that crowd it was hard to stay on the floor, non stop pushing and shoving, ended up on the railing upstairs for most of his set, which was perfect viewing but not the same as being on the floor tearing it up :( anyways set ends i go sit on the couch behind the booth watching the nonstop mob of fans getting autographs, some dude lights a J next to me and 2 seconds later, me and him both get kicked out....real ing cool....im outside waiting for my friends to come out and out walks Tiesto and his crew, walk up to him no problem and had him sign the back of my cell phone! Told him, I will be seeing him on Friday at SPACE..... thats in 4 days...i gotta go rest up

indy -Nice seeing you again! love those Kicks! lol
Lee - nice meeting u, -anytime you want to fly down to miami for a show-let me know
.....and to the half dozen other TAs i met behind the dj booth - hope you guys had a great time.

he's resident. always does a good job warming up and/or closing. he's very eclectic so his style fits the headliner.
