How old is to too old???

Ok this is an honest question...do you think there is an age limit to "trance" clubbing?

I turn 26 this August so maybe I'm getting insecure. Just wanted people's thoughts on this. I love prog trance/trance dearly and I will basically listen to this music all my life. So when we turn say 35 or 40...what do we do? Would it be awkward going to clubs at that age?

I think it might be too old, yet I look at the ages of all the "superstar" Djs and they pretty much seem to be in their 30s. Sasha, Digweed, Corsten, Oakie, Cox, Tenaglia, etc are all past 30...so it should be "cool" right?

I guess I post this b/c I started to thing about the long-term lol
I still want to see say Sasha 10 years from now (if he's still touring) but is that cool as a 34 yr old???

It seems to be a young man's game, but then the age of all my fav Djs gives me hope...

I think if you're like 60 and you're still trance clubbing that might be too old

thats the hardest part about pursuing a DJ career... what do you do once you reach 40? You are almost too old for the scene as most of the listeners are 15-30. However most people don't stop working until they are 55-65... what does one do for the next 15? If your answer is just produce music... then i'm not sure i can really be happy

15? lol

you can never be too old to listen to edm.. i mean like trance etc is onlya form of music as is country and stuff.. and im pretty sure you can never be too old to listen to country music,.... why should edm be treated any differently. my dad is 51 [52 next week] and hes got more happy hardcore cds than ive got cds full stop

You can't be too old for listening, but for clubbing, maybe... 40.

Interresting question! I guess you can't be too old to go clubbing. But it deppends how you behave and where you go. In some clubs (at least where i live) most of the people are about 16-20, and even I feel like a granny between them (I'm 25), so I don't want to think how it is with 35 or older. But there are better clubs or parties with people of nearly every age. I think the question is more if you still have friends that still listen to that music when you are about 40. If yes it's not a problem to have fun in the clubs.

My 50 year old father goes clubbing with me. I don't find it weird, he likes sasha more than I do ;)

know your roll when you go out though. Acting like a youngster when your older isn't cool.

But there is no age limit in my mind.

Enjoy it while it lasts... your youth that is. As you being to age responsibilities begin to pile up and your attitudes and customes change as well and soon you'll find yourself at home with your spouse and a couple of kids during those clubbing weekends.

I don't think it will be _that_ weird. You have to realize that EDM is still a fairly young scene, and its frontrunners are just now starting to hit their mid 30's or maybe even 40. You see older folks go see their generation's bands all the time.

Clubbing maybe has an age limit for me, but listenign to trance, i dont think so.
